Overview
- The New Year event’s Challenge Quest comes in the form of Beni-Enma accompanied by three faithful monkey underlings. Beni-Enma has two health bars (with 453,700 and 600,280 HP respectively), with the Break effect of maxing her NP gauge and applying a 3-turn Ignore Invincible on herself. Beni-Enma’s Break buff is removable, and can be prevented with the use of a Buff Block.
- Each of the monkeys have high (90%) resistance towards two card types, not only reducing the damage they take from said cards, but also the benefits normally received by attackers from their command cards (such as NP charge and critical stars).
- While they are together on the field, the monkeys will buff Beni-Enma every turn with a 1-turn Defense buff as well as a second buff which varies for each monkey.
- The safest approach to this fight is to kill all three of the monkeys as soon as possible, preferably on the same turn or in two consecutive turns in order to avoid them buffing Beni-Enma.
- The monkeys’ resistance buffs can be countered through stacking card performance buffs; alternatively, it is also possible to use three heavy-hitting ST damage dealers (one to counter each monkey) and use their NPs to kill off the monkeys in quick succession.
- After the monkeys are dealt with, Beni-Enma herself should not be that difficult to deal with, provided enough Archers are fielded. It should be noted, however, that she has a tendency to use Evasion at low health which can be quite annoying for the unprepared.
Team Recommendations
- Archer damage dealers prove to be the most effective in this stage, thanks to their advantage against Beni-Enma as well as one of the three monkeys. With sufficient card performance buffs, Buster AoE options such as Gilgamesh, Ishtar, Nikola Tesla and Arash are all capable of effectively dealing with the monkeys (with the Lancer monkey having no Buster resistance).
- Alternatively, neutral AoE options such as Lancelot (Berserker), Minamoto no Raikou and Edmond Dantes can be employed, again, assuming they are provided with sufficient card buffs.
- A single-target Archer should be brought along in the backline to finish off Beni-Enma. Options with Ignore Invincible (Attila the San(ta)) or Sure Hit (Robin Hood, Asagami Fujino, David, Billy the Kid) are preferred in order to deal with her Evasion.
- Card performance supports (Merlin, Scathach-Skadi, Tamamo no Mae) are very much recommended for this stage, as they make defeating the three monkeys far easier. Their lower rarity alternatives, such as Helena Blavatsky, William Shakespeare and Mozart are also top-notch for this purpose.
- Without access to sufficient damage support, three damage dealers (Buster Saber/Berserker, Arts Archer/Berserker, Quick Berserker) can be used on the frontline, equipped with Starting NP CEs. They are to chip the monkeys’ HP to a sufficiently low amount, before firing their NPs and taking out the enemies in one fell swoop.
- All four enemies have single-target NPs, which can be redirected from the damage dealer by use of Taunters such as Mash Kyrielight and Georgios.
