FGO Summer 2024 - Challenge Guide: Arctic Summer Memory

Requirements: The Main Quest line for the Event and Singularity: Solomon must be completed before this quest can be attempted. This unlocks on ~Day 8.

• Battle with the Servants from Arctic Summer World, lead by the Assassin Valkyries! The Valkyries have 3 HP bars (Thrud: 211k, Hildr: 264k, and Ortlinde: 317k HP), while each of Gareth (Saber), Asclepius, Lady Avalon, Assassin of Shinjuku, and Ashiya Douman have HP ranging from 201-245k HP.
• This battle can be handled quite well with a strong NP looping Servant, especially if they have Class Advantage and Trait Bonus damage.
• This battle starts with only Thrud (Assassin) on the field, until her HP bar is broken.
• When Hildr (Assassin) is on the field, up to two enemies can be on the field at once, and this first ends up being Gareth (Saber), who will promptly start with Taunt on themselves.
• When Ortlinde (Assassin) is on the field, up to three enemies can be on the field at once.
• All Servants start with an effect when they enter the field, and the non-Valkyrie Servants also come with an on-death effect.
  • Thrud starts with 3-time, 3-turn Debuff Immune, and 50% Arts Resist. She also helpfully gives the party 20 Stars and 30% NP Gauge.
  • Gareth starts with 5-turn Taunt, and will inflict Taunt on any enemy that attacks her.
    • On death, she provides a DEF buff to an ally and also gives the same ability to inflict Taunt on attackers.
  • Asclepius will remove debuffs from allies when he appears, and provides a stack of 500% Buff Removal Resist (1 time), and gives 30k HP regen to all allies each turn.
    • On death, he applies an additional 2-turn Debuff Immunity stack to allies, and restores allies' health by 50k.
  • Lady Avalon provides Invincible (1 turn) to all allies on entry, as well as NP Gauge +1 to all allies. Note the invincibility is removable.
    • On death, she gives an NP regen buff that gives +1 extra NP gauge each turn to all allies. This is also removable.
  • Assassin of Shinjuku starts with a Crit Rate and Sure Hit buff.
    • On death, he provides allies with a Crit Rate and Sure Hit buff.
  • Ashiya Douman will double the mystic code skill cooldown recovery rate, in exchange for cursing an enemy (5 stacks), draining the party's NP gauge by 20%, and removing all defensive buffs from the party.
    • On death, he inflicts 10 stacks of a minor curse, which total to 5,000 damage per turn altogether.
• Valkyrie's first break gives her an ATK and Buster Resist buff for 5 turns.
• Valkyrie's second break gives her a stronger ATK buff and NP Damage Resist buff for 5 turns.

• AoE Berserker Damage Dealers are particularly useful since they have offensive advantage against all of the enemies in this encounter. Casters also do decently well, given two Assassin enemies (one of which has 3 HP bars) and no Riders to speak of. Neutral damage options such as Ruler/Avenger/Moon Cancer also work decently well.
  • Ibuki-Douji (Berserker) is a particularly standout option. In addition to having Event Bonus damage, she also removes buffs with her NP, which applies to many of the more threatening gimmicks in this quest. Also, four of the six enemy Servants have Earth attribute, further boosting her damage.
• Buff Removal from either the damage dealer or from supports is hugely helpful for this encounter, especially for Lady Avalon's invincibility effect when she appears. It also applies to many other buffs in this encounter
  • Caution: An extra skill-based buff removal is suggested for dealing with Lady Avalon's Invincibility, since Asclepius also puts a 1-time Buff Removal Resist skill on the party when he appears, and most cases he appears alongside Lady Avalon. Consuming this resist buff first before removing the invincibility buff is necessary.
• Ignore Invincible is an alternative to Buff Removal. Although the other removable buffs that Servants provide cannot be dealt with using this option, for this case Ignore Invincibility means the Master does not have to worry about the Buff Removal Resist stack that Asclepius provides.
• NP Gauge / Damage Supports are helpful as always, buffing the damage dealer to help take down the bosses in a timely manner before they can unleash their NPs on the party. Including the new Servants from the event, all of Altria Caster, Lady Avalon, Tamamo, Skadi, Skadi Ruler, Merlin, Koyanskaya, Oberon, and Waver/Reines/Nero Bride are great choices.
• Event Damage CE should be equipped on the main damage dealer preferably MLB (Max Limit Broken) to maximize the damage bonus. Masters will have a much better time with this CE, so Masters may wish to wait and farm additional Visitor Points until all copies of Ice Warrior are available before attempting the challenge!
