Valentine's 2024 - Challenge Guide: eclipse (Cu Chulainn + Bazett)

Requirements: The Main Quest line for the Event and Singularity: Solomon must be completed before this quest can be attempted.

• Welcome to the challenge quest for the Valentine's 2024 event! This is a moderately difficult encounter that showcases Bazett's NP effect. The encounter is technically soloable by some Servants (see video links).
• This encounter is a battle against both Cu Chulainn, who is a Lancer with 3 HP bars (322k, 406k, 608k HP), and Bazett, an Alter Ego with 2 HP bars (323k, 483k HP).
• Cu Chulainn will have perma-Taunt at the beginning of the fight, and a minor 2k Damage Cut effect.
• Taunt switches to Bazett when she activates her counter NP. Bazett will also gain a 30% DEF buff in addition to the usual offensive buffs she gains with her NP. Attacking Bazett or targeting her with debuffs will cause her counter attack to activate, where she will deal heavy damage to her attacker and also inflict Quick Resist Down and a small Crit Rate buff for herself.
  • Note that stunning or otherwise immobilizing Bazett on her Fragarach Counter turn will prevent her from using her counter attack!
• Cu will often use his 3-time Evade skill as well.
• Each enemy also has break effects of varying threat levels:
  • Cu Chulainn's 1st break increases his NP's Instant Death success rate.
  • Cu's 2nd break gives him a 3-time Guts, along with an ATK buff that gets stronger when he is at lower HP. Both of these effects are unremovable.
  • Bazett's break gives her an ATK buff and Ignore Invincibility that last 5 turns each.

• Of the two enemy Servants, Cu (Lancer) has the larger HP pool, making Saber Damage Dealers a great option for this fight. Bazett, being an Alter Ego, also has offensive Class disadvantage against Knight Classes, which would be an additional bonus for bringing a Saber to this fight.
• More generalized AoE damage dealers also work well for this fight, especially if they have trait-based bonus damage against the bosses.
  • A particular standout is Demon King Nobunaga, for having bonus damage against both Heaven and Divine, which apply to both bosses.
• Ignore Invincibility on the damage dealer or from a support can help deal with Cu's Evade skill, which he uses quite often, particularly when low on health during his last HP bar.
• Stun or Immobilization from a Servant or Mystic Code (such as Chaldea Combat Uniform) can help by disabling Bazett's counter effect from activating, so long as it is used on the turn right after she enables her NP.
• NP Gauge and Damage Support is helpful as always to boost the damage and get NPs off quickly to make short work of the enemies. Depending on the damage dealer's Card color, Koyanskaya, Altria Caster, Skadi, Oberon, Waver, Reines, Tamamo, and Merlin all make for good choices.
