Overview
Note: The Orion gimmick for this stage is still in effect. All enemies have Orion's traits and despite facing Artemis, she is still a male in gameplay.
- At first glance, Artemis' battle seems simple enough. Her Break Bar buffs lack any difficult gimmicks and she even reduces her own critical chance.
- In this fight, Aremis' AI will try to prioritize male Servants as well as use her Punish the Unfaithful to boost her damage if a male is around.
- However, much like France the one thing stands out in this Challenge Quest are those blasted Rider Wyverns. Oh, and the Rider class Demon boars in the last stage, too. These absolute units with relatively high HP are incredibly dangerous to unprepared Caster supports and should be disposed of ASAP..
- In addition, Artemis' own defense/attack up/debuff resist combo and her Evasion make her one tough cookie to kill all while she has the short 3-turn Archer NP bar. Offensively, she can also destroy enemy males with her effective damage buff (although that tends to expire before doing serious harm).
- Altogether though, this fight isn't exceedingly difficult if Masters can dispose of the Rider adds in good time. Orion's own damage is manageable outside of her NP, as her Critical Rate often takes a nosedive.
Survival Strategy:
-
With properly classed/traited Servants, the fight is quite straightforward. Female ST Lancers and AoE Assassins with survivability are both excellent picks for this fight.
-
Clearing the first few waves can be done without expending AoE NPs, but make sure to have one ready for the last wave. Masters are recommended to clear them out quickly with AoE NPs if they are using support Casters.
-
Orion tends to (but not always - her NP may target a different Servant) prioritize male Servants as her attack focus and will usually spend an action to use Punish the Unfaithful. Clever Masters can load up a male Servants with all sorts of defensive CEs/skills to tank her offense.
-
The Large Demon Boars on the last wave deal AoE damage, so it's recommended to take them out as soon as possible. Once it's a fair 3 (+backline) versus Artemis fight, the fight becomes a lot more manageable due to her Single Target NP.
-
Said Hogs of Unusual Size will tend to use their NP Charge/Attack Up skill, which provides even more incentive to take them out quickly.
Team Recommendations
- Reliably strategizing against Artemis' gimmicks means male Servants are less ideal - but still usable should masters be able to protect them well enough (or deliberately let them die).
- Thus, great Servants for this fight are non-male Single Target Lancers to help dispose of Orion, and an AoE Assassin to clear out the adds quickly early on. Naturally, Berserker and Extra class options are also viable while supports can fill in the blanks.
- Do not be afraid to field male supports with the intention of making them use their buffs and then bring out a new one. They indirectly protect the main DPS while they do it (provided that DPS is female/genderless).
- Highly recommended Servant skills for consideration include survivability like Evasion and Invincibility, as well as offensive buffs to push past Orion's healing skill at the second break bar.
- Ironically, Artemis still counts as a male, which makes anti-male bonuses a valuable trait against her.
- In addition, Artemis and her minions are all Greek Mythology Males and Berserker of El Dorado can really go to town her - after all, all male Servants provide a soft-taunt for her against Orion!
- Artemis is not divine - but anti-Divine Servants such as Enkidu (genderless) and Scathach are still excellent picks.
- Taunters like Mash are useful to make Artemis' NP targeting more consistent. Scathach Assassin's Taunt is also highly useful to, ah, dispose of her after she cleared all of the Rider mobs.
