The FGO Thanksgiving Special 2018!

The Thanksgiving period brings together a number of different bonuses and changes from simply celebrating Thanksgiving to the release of the Blu-Ray/DVD of the first part of Heaven's Feel to numerous UI updates and even new interludes.

Considering the Thanksgiving Special 2018 runs from 2018-11-18 20:00 to 11-26 19:59 PST, it more or less hints and nudges towards a new content release on the 27th of November. Presumably that will be the actual Christmas 2018.  

There's a fair bit to cover in this event, so let's get started. 

Campaign Period: From November 19th to November 25th, 2018 at 12:59 PST. 

Next to all the more standard banners and rewards, the social media campaign is a new and interesting take on the standard share/like rewards for F/GO content. Masters can vote between Cranberry or Gravy to show which their preference for either one. Whichever option ends up drawing the most votes will reward us all with the additional Monster Materials listed below. 

At this time of writing the campaign has already reached its like&share benchmarks which means all of us will also receive some additional Saint Quartz and Summon Tickets!

On a personal note: Even with the benchmarks for more rewards already reached, this is one of the few times where unique NA content for F/GO has actually introduced something nice and new with a unique spin. If you want to see more of this content, consider participating in the campaign anyway to show the localization team that this is the sort of campaign that players would actually like to see. 

• Any Master that logged in on 2018-11-18 received an additional x 3 from the localization panel at Anime NYC 2018.
• Furthermore, to celebrate Thanksgiving in Fate/Grand Order, the celebration campaign will have the following login bonuses:

The login bonuses do not stop with just Thanksgiving. To celebrate the Heaven's Feel release these additional (minor) bonuses will be handed out during the 2018-11-20 23:00 to 11-30 19:59 PST campaign period.

• Day 1: QP x 250,000
• Day 2: FP x 2,500
• Day 3: Mana Prism x 2
• Day 4: QP x 500,000
• Day 5: FP x 5,000
• Day 6: Mana Prism x 5
• Day 7: Heroic Costume: Medusa x 1

Additionally, a copy of Heaven's Feel can be acquired by completing a special quest available in Chaldea!

Each subsequent month, between the 20th and the 30th, will also see the release of additional promotional Craft Essences for the Heaven's Feel Release:

• Heroic Costume: Leonardo Da Vinci x 1
• Heroic Costume: Jeanne d'Arc x 1
• Heroic Costume: Nero Claudius x 1

Additionally during the period of 2018-11-20 23:00 to 2018-11-26 19:59 PST all Daily Quests in Chaldea are 1/2 AP!

With the upcoming Christmas 2018 event on the horizon however, it's much more prudent to save most of the apples for the more lucrative opportunities in the lottery. 

Nonetheless, it's not a bad idea to spend some AP on stocking up on some extra Experience or QP. Farming Skill gems is best done in the lottery however. Try to prepare a good portion of experience for the upcoming welfare Servant!

Additionally, the upcoming Christmas event is going to feature a number of Bonus Servants that increase a particular currency used for the shop. Unlike the current rerun the Bonus Servants do not affect the lottery farm directly. It's therefore not a huge problem if a Master only has a few or even none of them levelled. 

Nonetheless, the following Servants (Spoilers!) have a drop bonus:

Three new Interludes are permanently unlocked from 2018-11-18 20:00 PST! While the new Interlude for Scathach simply rewards additional background and a Saint Quartz, the second Iskander Interlude is a bit special. 

Not only does the second Iskander Interlude reward an upgrade to his NP, but it also buffs his base NP gain per hit! Such a permanent buff is extremely rare and is of course a very nice boost on top of his NP upgrade. His NP gain will now be more in line with the standard Buster Servants. Make sure to grab the upgrade as soon as possible! 

• The Thanksgiving banner is an excellent opportunity to roll some older fan-favorite Servants.
• However, the upcoming month is going to be a busy period with plenty of new Servants and of course, a perverted all-powerful Support Servant. 
• Take note that we may not receive the same New Years Banner as the original Japanese Server got. The Servants (and Interludes) in this banner originally were part of the New Years Banner.
• If you really want one of these Servants this may be the best chance for some time. What happens at New Years is up in the air for now. 
• Remember the core rule: Roll for Servants you like and enjoy!
