Overview

  • Masters participate in a endurance camping trip with a rambunctious Paul Bunyan who has nearly limitless energy, having 50 Guts stacks in total that are unremovable.
  • Bunyan is accompanied by 18 other mobs of Berserker, Rider, Saber, and Caster Classes, and a break bar Berserker at the very end of the wave.
    • Defeating one of the smaller normal mobs (Wolf, Boar, Golem, or Doll) will reduce Bunyan's Guts stacks by 2.
    • Defeating one of the larger normal mobs (Ifreeta, Spriggan) will reduce Bunyan's Guts stacks by 5.
  • In total, Bunyan can have 45 Guts stacks taken away by defeating the mobs, leaving her with 5 actual Guts stacks total.
  • Every 3 turns, Bunyan will alternate between swapping to the back, or swapping to the front, switching with the next closest enemy in the backline, or with the front most enemy in the frontline.
  • After there are 11 (or fewer) enemies left and when Bunyan first returns to the front, Bunyan will charge all the enemies' NP Gauge to Max! Be wary of Bunyan's AoE NP. In addition, she grants a small HP regen buff to all of her allies. At this time, the field visually changes to evening.
  • When the Spriggan appears on screen, when Bunyan first returns to the front, Bunyan will grant 3 ATK buff stacks to all enemies, and give an unremovable buff that gives all enemies an extra NP charge each turn for 5 turns. At this time, the field visually changes to nighttime. Bunyan at this point will be running low on energy!
  • When Eric Bloodaxe appears, he'll provide beneficial buffs to the Master's party by restoring 10k HP, charging the frontline's NP by 25%, and reducing all skill cooldowns by 1 turn. He is the 20th enemy, so Masters can plan their strategy around his buffs once they down enough enemies.
  • Eric Bloodaxe's break effect is to charge his own NP Gauge to MAX, so beware of this as well and make sure to have defensive measures ready for his AoE NP.

Team Recommendations

  • Flexible Damage Dealer - Given the boss Servants are both Berserker class, the damage dealer's class choice is rather flexible. Foreigners are a straightforward choice for both Offensive and Defensive Class advantage. If looking at the other mobs (Rider, Saber, Caster), then Rider or Archer Servants are a good option. Otherwise, strong Avengers or Berserkers also work well.
  • Remember to equip the Event Damage CE, Hide Hunter, on the selected damage dealer of choice (MLB/Max Limit Broken if possible) to gain up to +200% damage.
  • NP Gauge + Invincibility Support - With the advent of Altria Caster, she works well as an all-around supportive option, providing both NP Gauge and invincibility to help the party last through the AoE Noble Phantasms. Merlin can also fulfill the same role, albeit with slightly lower NP charge, but with the ability to provide healing to the party.
  • AoE Evade/Invincible - Other Servants with AoE Evade or Invincibility can help with protecting the party from the enemy Berserkers' AoE NPs. Jeanne d'Arc or Kiara (Moon Cancer) can work, as well as lower rarity options such as Tristan or David.
  • NP Gauge Support - Bringing other sources of NP Gauge charge such as Waver, Skadi, or Reines can also work quite well.
  • Healing Support - Since there are 20 enemies in this challenge, setups will need to last long enough to reach the end, which means a source of healing in the party will help greatly. Merlin and Tamamo are excellent mixed Card Support + Healing options. More dedicated healers such as Medea Lily, Asclepius, or others can also work.
  • Bringing a Last Stand option such as Heracles or Cu Chulainn (Alter) can also help if the frontline doesn't make it through to the end and you need to buy just a few extra turns.
