Are the drop rates of ascension items high enough thats its worth farming for them?
I've already gotten my 5th CE,the santa lily permanent ticket and everything I want out of the shop so was wondering if I should save the apples or if the drop rates are good, keep farming for twin crystals and phoenix plumes and other mat drops.

Save apples for what? There won't be an event similar to this one anytime soon. Anyway, for me ascension items from the lottery are just considered bonuses if you look at the more important items in it. You won't be getting a place to farm wherein you could get multiple items via stocking in a single node like the ones here

I think that he/she is asking about the materials that drop besides the stockings and cakes. Like the stocking quest coming in like 2 or 3 days will have a 25% chance of dropping a reverse dragon scale

If you don't want to play anymore then don't do it. It doesn't really matter if you don't need or want the extra mats.

I had good luck with tearstones at the 40ap cheesecakes /shortcake node; chains and lamps were plentiful in the 40ap shortcake /fruitcake node

I second this; about 5 Tear drops more or less...
Also, the Efreet in the Fruitcake (double Gils) gave me a lot of Yellow Caster Gems (about 10), and Lamps (about 5).
