I need to share this pain whit those who know it

i feel ya. i have been saving quartz for 6 months and spend it all at shishou's banner. got nothing with 5* ce's and 4* ce's. only got spook fucking cumhail np2.

about spending money for quartz, i think you should consider just buying when there is a guaranteed 5*ssr. im still not spending any money for this game, but when guaranteed 5*ssr comes, i will spend some bucks for that golden card i've been longing for.

btw as a fellow f2p, dont lose hope, your ssr/sr will come in the right time. it may spook you when using tickets, it may spook you on the other banner or you can try again at the other banner. just wait and hope. (and love your 3*/2*/1* servants in the meantime.)

Bought two $80 packs and one $25 pack to try and get OG Seiba. Got nothing. I don't mean to belittle what you feel but your losses could have been far worse.

Ah, I feel your pain! same thing is also happen to me just a couple days ago but don't lose hope my dear stranger. One day the gacha will bless you with a 5 star, but now endure the pain and count your blessings.... stay strong :)

At least you got 2 SRs, so your summons weren't that terrible. They could have been way worse. In any case, you must treat any and all money that you decide to drop on this game as lost money the second you buy the SQ, as more often than not you will not get anything with it unless you spend a very large amount. That way, you will either get nothing but have been prepared for it so the disappointment won't be as large, or you will have a pleasant surprise and get something.

Also, by all means never drop more money on this game than you would be willing to just straight up lose, the ridiculous rates and lack of pity system mean that most of the money you drop will be indeed wasted.

Tamamo caster cost me $320. That was actually silly of me in retrospect, since she's often part of GSSR, which gives me a 33% chance to get her for $30 every 6 months or so, but I got everyone else on her banner as well so it wasn't so bad and I can easily afford it. Welcome to the club. ;)

Probabilities work in such a way that you rarely get what you want without excessive number of rolls. Sorry, but budgeting only 2 multi-rolls is simply not enough unless you are excessively lucky.

I've spent... quit a bit on this game.
It takes me an average of 3 30 sq rolls to get an event SSR with the notable exceptions of Jack and Shuten Douji who elude me still.

To play this game, u either spend a lot or spend nothing. I belongs to the former and even that does not guarantee you get the servant u want. I spent a combine amt of close to 2k on both Scathach banners and failed to get her (still salty esp the recent one which spooked me with Karna and Tanamo) while on most of the other SSRs, i usually get the SSRs i want within 3 - 4 multis.
In Jap acct though where I am F2P, my luck ironically was unbelievable, just 2 mths into the game, I already gotten around 10 SSRs without spending a dime..and those servants include the Skadi (Scathach in caster format - this to me is the ultimate insult).
So this game is really really cruel even to its spending players

Gacha = Gambling. Only spend how much you're willing to lose, expecting to win nothing. Something I learnt from losing too much in poker games.

Its gambling you either have the $400 ready for a chance of ssr or play what the game gives you. I recommend paying for gssr though its worth knowing youll get one and also try to spend the quartz sparingly dont save it all for one servant because theres still a chance you wont get it.

Look on the bright side. At least you only spent $37.

My first copy of Ishtar came at 750 SQ. The second copy came at 870 SQ overall.

Do the math on how much actual money that costs. Here's a hint: Divide the SQ number by 2.

Yo salt story: So I was f2p for the longest time, spent on 1 GSSR, and bought a quartz pack for Jalter once before and got her. Then Gil banner came. I spent close to a thousand dollars on that banner (apparently I don't have the best control over my gambling instinct), and I didn't even get a single 5 star servant. Like, not even a spook. Must've spent at least 500 - 600 SQ and not a single SSR. Got really close to quitting the game after that, and if it weren't for the fact that selling my account is such a hassle, I probably would've done it by now.

A friend of mine spent about 1k rolling for Jalter. Only got a Helena to show for it.

Yes, not getting what you had hoped for can be soul crushing. I am not a F2P, on my first day on FGO I already whaled lol. The Thanksgiving banner rekt me, and I was very disappointed. But I know that is the nature of the beast. On the Brightside, you've only just spent $37 and aware of what the gacha does. Just stay within your limits, and have an alternate hobby to take the edge off of FGO. You may one day get the servant you want, till then just borrow them from your friends. Sending positive thoughts your way.
