Shuten-Douji's Power Level

So, long story short, I YOLO summoned Shuten-Douji! I'm F2P and she's my first ever Nat 5 (and she's one of my favorites!). I knew Gamepress classified her to be on the lower end of 5*, but as I kept reading the analysis on her, I simply couldn't understand why she was considered borderline bottom tier. And not only from my personal perspective, but from the analysis itself. It states, as her drawbacks, that she has low Attack because of her class (she still has the highest Attack of her class, and it's not her fault she's an Assassin) and that NP Seal is a double-edged sword, which is fair enough. But is that really enough to place her in the second to last tier of 5 stars?

She has high stats (highest Attack out of all Assassins), AoE Defense break + Charm, Charisma A + NP Buff, Guts, good Crit Star and NP generation with both Arts and Quick cards... I always used Shuten-Douji as a Friend Support Servant and she always proved to be super useful, so it never translated to me that she was a "bad" 5* unit.

Honestly, why consider the ranking so seriously? Typically when you consider she is your specific one and love her much, and also find her worked great in your team, then ranking is definitely meanless and pointless to you. If you disagree with that, just ignore it. I totally support this.

The description for Shuten's tier is "Their specializations are either not strong enough, or they are not as versatile as higher tier Servants, and often require much more support to perform at a consistent level" which fits her imo. It doesn't make her bad, and the game is usually so easy you can't really tell much of a difference between her and higher-tier servants anyway. As the other person said, just go with what you like, it doesn't matter.

Also note that the start of the 5* tier list says all 5*s are worth leveling despite what tier they place them in.

Fair enough, i'm pretty much agreed to the question maker.
I mostly play FGO for fun or memes and for me that's even more amusing by using low tier servants.
Also, no matter how bad the servants listed in the tier list, it's up to our capability to play them.
If some servants listed there is one of my favorite, then i can bring him/her whenever i like to.

Powerlevel? I don't know man, i suppose it's pretty big but i can't say for certain, we need a scouter.

P.D: Yes, ur waifu is garbage >:D (jk). Consider that this tierlist doesn't take into account farming usefulness that much, so her main utility is something out of their scope (highest AoE damage of the assassin class). You can make her work for hard content with support and shit, but there's better people to run on Arts Teams.

If you raise her one (1) rank, you would be saying she's as good for hard content as Orion and Vlad...those two have too much sinergy with Tamamo's antics and they are incredibly powerful for hard content. Their weakness is that they suck really hard outside of Arts teams because their NP gain is incapacitating without a Tamamo (same deal as Kerry). Funnily enough, Vlad, Orion and Kerry are tremendously bad for farming...they suck at it just as much as Tamamo.

I personally have Shuten myself and trust me, she is one of my fav assassins despite her position in the tier list. She is fantastic as my queen of debuffs and that to me is important. At the end of the day, it depends on how you use her. Also, all SSRs are useful in one way or another.

She is "bad" relative to the other 5* servants. That doesn't mean she's inherently bad, it just means that she doesn't perform as well when compared to the other 5*s.

You're lucky, I really tried for Shuten but she did not come. You said it yourself, that you found her to be super useful and that's what matters. If she enhances your gaming experience, don't pay too much attention to the tier list. I love her attacking animations! And I really need a replacement for Stheno.
