Tonight is the first time I've ever felt legit gacha salt, and I'm here venting and looking to share stories. Tonight, I decided to break my vow of SQ saving for King Hassan, and spend 30 of my 233 SQ on the Round Table summon. I was looking for an extra copy of Tristan, Lancelot, or even OG Artoria just to improve their NP's. Spun the x10 summon, and what did I get? A bunch of Craft Essences that I already had and never use, plus a few silver servants I already have at NP5. This is the first time I've been legit angry and felt gacha salt, because I wasn't even really after an SSR servant, I just wanted an SR, and there were 4 SR's on rate up in this banner. I only wanted one of them, and wanted a dupe at that, and instead of a SR servant I got a bunch of SR Craft Essences.
The silver lining is, I was so determined to get an extra Lancelot, I tossed a ticket into the banner and came out with Camelot Artoria.
Wish me luck on getting King Hassan when he comes around, and I wish you all luck on your future Gacha pulls. We can band together and punch the gacha in it's face too if it helps.
OK, way back in at the start of the game, before I had my clairvoyance and game know how, I scrapped together enough sq to roll the Gill Gatcha. Instead of Gill I got d'Eon, which I already had. I was not happy.
Now I am a much more experienced Gatchaer. I know that 30 SQ is nothing and will most likely get me nothing. It's when you spend 300 SQ and don't get the servant you were trying to get that you get high grade quality salt. (Illyia!!!!)
Oh yes, I imagine 300 spent with nothing gained would be quite the horrible thing. Hoping King Hassan actually comes and I don't have to experience that.
Aside from the perpetual bitterness I get from my buddy constantly getting the banner servant with tickets as a F2P while my P2P ass has to roll 300+ for the same servant...
...Let me tell you a story.
For the Camelot singularity banner that just passed weeks back, I had 450 Saint Quartz saved up specifically for Bedivere. NP5 was obviously the goal with that much SQ. It took me 330 SQ to get my first copy of him.
A 3-star servant.

I so relate to this! I hate it when I'm P2P with F rank luck and my friend who is semi F2P (GSSR) has EX rank luck and has just 1 less 5* than I do.
Did you do x10 rolls for that guaranteed 3 star, or single rolls? Either way, that's fucking rediculous and I can completely understand how that would be frustrating
I decided to yolo knights of the round and spent 30 quartz on a 10 roll only to realise too late I picked the wrong gacha and rolled Christmas instead. Still ended up with a Jack, but I already had her and I hate getting repeats. I can't shake the feeling that gacha luck is zero-sum and I always think I would've actually gotten an SSR I actually wanted if I rolled knights instead of Christmas. In fact, I probably would've been less annoyed if I hadn't gotten Jack since at least that way I wouldn't have this feeling of missing out on something. Aside from that, getting duplicate Vlad from GSSR was also pretty frustrating. Again, the ONE servant out of ten that I didn't want. Feels bad that I paid for him.
Every time there is a banner I can get Jack on (which really isn't that often I guess), I drop at least 150 SQ trying to get her.
No luck so far.
Same goes for Nightingale.
I got Nightingale on a banner a while back while I was trying to pull for an extra Lancelot. Then I got a Vlad the same way. So coincidentally, I get 5-star servants while trying to pull for a 4 star dupe. Anyhow, I wish you the best of luck on getting her!
Still frustrating, since I broke my vow of saving, and what came of it was nothing I wanted, and a servant more rare than my target goal anyways. It's not that I'm not happy with Camelot Artoria, that's why she's the silver lining. It's just, she wasn't a servant I honestly wanted in the first place, so she doesn't completely relieve the salt.
During the summer I spent over 1k Quartz for archer Artoria didn’t end up getting her. got one ssr at like just over 1k Quartz granted it was waver who I pulled but still didn’t get her so I cut my losses at waver
Just happened at the latest Abby rateup on JP. Spent 120 SQ and all of my tickets to get her, but got nothing useful, only 3* Servants and 3-4* CEs (not even a single 5* one fml...). I think a little part of mine died on that day...
I have 17 OG Artoria from various 10-rolls
And about 7ish copies of Marie rider
It's not even on their rate up banner
But hey, at least I got enough unregistered spirit origins to guarantee a copy of Merlin when he's available...

Yeah though, that is pretty lucky. Glad to hear you summoned enough to flip things on its head and secure yourself a Merlin! I'm too weary of summoning to try and do that for King Hassan, I'll probably just pull him the odl fashioned way. Then if that fails, I'll spend spend spend.
Well, about Gacha salt stories, i have lots of it.
I can tell you some, 90 SQ and a few ticket for Raikou ( I planned to do all kind of farm and boss killing to her ).
Maybe Gacha know my bad plan here, but here it is.
3 turn universal farm/boss slayer team :
Gilgamesh ( imaginary element/Kaleido ) + Raikou ( same as Gil ) + Waver + Tamacat.
Get spooked by 2 gold berserker ( i think i got Raikou back then ), Tamamo and Ibaraki show up. The salt is sting quite a bit, but they're good berserker afterall.
One with a lightning animation ( Tamacat ), one only gold zerker card ( Ibaraki ).
Now my Tamacat is NP 3, which means i can farm easier and worth the trade.
Back at the beginning of FGO NA in July 2017.
I only know saber and most of Fate/Zero character back then.
I follow the tutorial and the hypes is real, there's saber there !
They give us tutorial 4 star summon, back then i totally don't know anything about this game.
I got Marie Antoinette, that's one of the most hurting salt that i got ( because i think i will get Artoria from the tutorial Gacha and i'm a total noob ).
The truth is we won't get any SSR from tutorial roll LOL 🤣
Then i saved around 120 SQ and some free ticket ( around 10 of it ) to give it another shot again, ( i'm a really2 noob player back then ).
Instead of doing roll on a single servant banner, i wasted 120 SQs ++ to the story Simmons and only got tons of black keys and ripped Kirei.
Back then, Black Keys is the every symbol of Salt existence until DW decide to move it to the FP summon.
This one is probably my most Salty moments.
Well, at least they give me an SR ticket and a Saber Lily NP 1.
Now i have Artoria saber from Valentine banner ( i roll for Nero Bride, spooked by Artoria ), which is nice.
Took me 90 SQs and 10 ticket at the Valentine banner, to get Artoria.
In total of 8 months, from July 2017 to February 2018.
Now my Gold sabers keep arriving after i got Artoria, be it a spook or not.
I have more stories about it, to avoid long post i'll stop it : )
That part about the tutorial gacha reminds me of my last account that I forgot to backup. On my last account, my first summon got me an Emiya and a Saber Lily. I never leveled Emiya because I thought he was a guaranteed summon because he's a fan favorite or something. I should have suspected it was just up to chance judging by the Saber lily though.
Saber Lily was given by FGO from the beginning of the game, only come as NP 1.
Along with a 4 star ticket that can be traded with one of the 10 servants from tutorial gacha.
Saber Lily also arrived for the 2nd times at Saber Wars event and also a chance to upgrade her NP levels and now the only way to get her is from Saber Wars.
While F/SN or F/Zero saber Artoria known as Og Artoria.
Well there's 2 Saber Lily.
First saber lily is Altria Lily and the second is D'eon also has her/his name as saber Lily.
But the most known Lily is Altria Lily.
FGO give me NP 1 Altria Lily, when FGO NA was released back then.
The event was known as ''pre-registration Saber Lily Code''.
350 quartz and 55 tickets, almost half a year of hoarding as f2p to get Scathach. I didn't get her, or any other 5*.
That is my only salt story, since after that big disappointment I could force myself to save quartz again.
Oh yeah, like saving to get Gilgamesh (ZASSHU!) and run off with a Medea Lily and a 2030 after 300 quartz. Or that time where i used 50 tickets to try to luck out a Dantes (one of my favorite servant of this game) and ended up with absolutely nothing of worth.
Or that one time where i had 600 quartz to get Nictocris on the Camelot banner and ended up with a NP6 Lancelot, Nursery Rhyme, Helena and more Origin Bullets that anyone would ever need...That day i swore vengeance against gacha kind.
I'm still saving for my favorite servants because my skin is thick, my willpower is Guts tier and my interest in servants is fairly limited.
Dantes is a badass servant, and I hope you get him if he ever comes back. I tried to get him myself, but failed.
Being the lolicon i am i rolled all i had on the prisma illya banner in hopes of landing at least one of the multiple lolis on rate up.... and then only Martha showed up... at least i got a free chloe.
All my rage really comes from the fact that I wasted Quartz earlier. I did a 10-roll for Illya even though I didn't care much for her and did several singles for Orion instead of a 10-roll. Less rage now, spent 9 tickets on KotRT and didn't get Salter or Artoria Lancer. I got Umu instead of Umu Bride and got Waver while trying to get Jeanne. Back in summer, I tried rolling for Archuria but all I got was a Stheno. Got a Summer Martha at the very least. Goin' back farther now, tried for Mama Raikou, got Banana Oni.
Spent over 300+ F2P orbs for Jalter, spooked by Drake.
Then break my F2P code, spent lots of money just to get Jalter... got Jack and Attila instead.
Keep spending and I finally got Jalter, but lunch budget for the month already got reduced by half.
Just your regular poor life choices and weird luck. Can't even call it a bad luck since I got 4 SSR in the end, which makes me feeling quite frustrated.
Looking back, since I started saving SQ, the gacha has been relatively kind to me. Most times when I break my vow of saving, I do come out of it with something. I had gotten Nightengale, Tamamo, Tamamo Cat, Vlad Extra, normal Vlad, and now Camelot Artoria all on YOLO rolls.Well, camelot Artoria was more a "Fuck you, give me Lancelot" roll, but whatever. I really can't complain too much, it was just frustrating that this wasn't even the first time I pulled trying to get a Lancelot dupe (First time trying to x10 it) so I could enhance my favorite servant, and I didn't get him.
380 sq for Shuten, Vlad and Arjuna came. Before you said "at least they're SSR" well, they aren't Shuten...
120 sq for Okita, no one came. (not much, but hey, I was savings since I started to play).
Those are my salt stories so far...
i am a F2P complitly unable to save quarz, so i have no big story of 500 sq for getting spooked by fionn.
Instead, i want to share this nightmare thet happened to me.be carefull, is not for weak hearts.
becouse i am an idiot, i did a 10 pull on camelot gotcha one day when all saber servant where on rate up. Becouse i like moldred.
First summon obviously nothing, but the second a gold saber, my heart was racing, all of you know the feeling! Gawein.... for real.
Then third pull, nothing, fourth, nothing... , Sixth pull... gold saber agein!
pls! any one but gawein! and i got another gawein.... 7th pull 4* CE, 8th another 4* CE... 9 pull nothing and then
10th pull , rainbow color spark, simbol of a SSR servant! Another Gold saber! will this be my moldred? or og Artoria? ...... Gawien.,

The 1st Anniversary GSSR banner. I rolled Cavalry. There were 3 SSRs of the entire group that I didn't care to get: Medb, Nightingale and Vlad, and even then I'd take the latter two because I still don't have a good Berserker. Naturally, Medb was the one I ended up getting. Granted, she's been helpful in challenges and such, but the salt still lingers.
I roll on the gacha with the expectation that I won't get anything good...
The chance of a 4* and 5* is 3% and 1%, respectively. Which means that the odds of getting neither on a single roll is 96%. Therefore, not counting the guarantee, the odds of getting neither in 10 rolls is about 66%. and 44% after 20. On average, it would be 1 per 25 rolls.
And the guarantee has a pretty low chance of occurring, since the chance of not rolling a servant in 10 is only 0.3%, and the chance of not getting a 4* servant or CE is only about 11%
