Why is the main stories final quest which unlocks santa alter locked until the final day? If you are someone completing the quest the first time around you pretty much can't use the +4 stocking bonus from the welfare at all in the event. Not to mention the final 50ap free quest also only unlocks for a whole day or so as well.
This is the same time line as last year for the main quest, but the overall event length is shorter due to being a "lite" version. Annoying, but it is what it is.
If it makes you feel better, you can't benefit as much from the stocking bonus because lottery box is limited on number of resets.
I guess, it just feels weird to put the whole get +4 from the santa alter thing into the event when its almost impossible to use outside of friends. Or similarly making the 50ap mission a thing but realistically not going to be worth using.
Sure the time was shortened for the event and the number of boxes was changed but why couldn't they modify the schedule for unlocks a bit as well?
This rerun is pretty bad. Time constraint, no improvements, no new quest and no 100 roll lottery button yet. This is ultra lazy.
Yay, 6 days to try get and all the tickets Santa Alter Np. I guess it time to spam my 15 bronze, 50 silver and 86 golden apples...fun.
The event walkthrough says that we should basically be able to clear the lottery boxes and most of the shop using natural AP regen. I haven't calculated it myself to verify, but you should probably keep that in mind before you go too crazy with the apples. We can only open a limited number of boxes, so you should probably either math it out a bit before you use your apples, or wait till the end to use your apples.
I cleared the 2 boxes using 3 Gold, 2 Silver, 3 Bronze apples. I'm only using the lottery apples. I'm getting around 100 stockings per run (+8 +100%) now and not accounting for any level ups. I'll probably only be able to clear another 4 boxes without any apples. I think the walkthrough is using last year's math or a good bonus team.
Note: I didn't account for getting santa alter and farming the last free quest.
I mean i don;t know about the new quests part, but as someone who started right before prisma codes/summer part 2 ended this event seems to me like the most worthy of complaints. It's only saving grace might just be the event ending quicker so that hopefully Babylon and eventually Solomon with Memezard come out sooner.
Well, you've gotta bear in mind that this is a rerun. We will be getting another Christmas event, with another lottery, so it would be a bit crazy if they actually allowed this one to remain as a full-blown event. The purpose of this event is basically just to give us late-comers another chance to get Santa Alter. Everything outside of that should just be considered a bonus.
According to the walkthrough, we should pretty much be able to clear the shop and the lottery boxes by the end of the event, without having to rely on apples. So even though it's not optimal that we don't get our own +4 bonus until the end of the event, it shouldn't actually have any adverse effects on your ability to complete the event. Just look at this event as a low-stress week where you get a free servant, a handful of other goodies, and a break from the usual grind.
Yeah, it sucks that we can only open a limited number of boxes (especially since I need void dust sooo bad). But it's also nice in the sense that I don't have to stress out about how to use my apples, since we have another lottery coming up next month. And yeah, it sucks that we don't get Santa Alter until the end of the event. But it's also nice in the sense that they're basically just going to hand her over to us for doing practically nothing. We get her permanently after just doing a couple of easy 5 AP quests each day, and we will basically get her ascension materials and extra copies while we clear the lottery boxes. We don't have to worry about that "we get her, but it's not permanent yet, so I'm scared to actually invest embers in her until the end of the event anyway" thing. And we don't have to go through a grueling race against time where we have to complete a huge quest chain and a bunch of raids, where it's almost impossible to do without apples, and it's difficult for newer players, and some people won't even manage to get her to NP5 before the event ends, like with Chloe. And it's nice that her ascension materials aren't some huge additional expense. We should mostly get the currency to purchase them while we clear the main quests and farm stockings. On the last event, I honestly almost decided to just not even buy Elly's ascension mats, because they were relatively expensive and there were so many other things that we actually needed that currency for.
So yeah, it's not hard to find things to complain about, with regard to this event, but it's equally easy to find things to be happy about with it. Just look at it as a laid back bonus week where we get a bunch of free stuff.
Except the bonus I just get is one cause all of event servants are 3 star. I'm pretty sure I gonna spam golden apple on the last day.
