Tbh, I really really enjoy using Gawain and think that he's a pretty good servant, but I also heard that there will be a lot of dragon enemies in the future singularities in fgo, so I would say to level up Siegfried

Siegfried becomes one of the strongest 4* Sabers later on, his dragon damage will be too powerful (his NP against dragons surpasses all ST 5* sabers), he can spam use it frequently and Georgios can turn anything into a Dragon.

Meanwhile, Gawain is not consistent. There's no skill to change the time of day and his buffs under the sun are not as outrageous as Siegfried's dragon slaying anyway. He also has BBB deck (Buster Gorilla), that implies a hard time to gain NP reliably and can slow down the NP gain of the supports. The Gorilla deck is the worst of the game unless you are doing solos (cuz BBB each turn).

Personally I use Gawain a lot more often since he has that small but useful NP battery and decent buffs. Good for farming. Also thought it was funny - I rolled for Mordred yesterday and ended up with the same servants as you instead, NP2 Gawain and NP4 Sumanai.

Gawain's problem is that is incredibly vanilla. Unlike someone like Saber Alter, however, his damage buff is situational. He's not a bad servant by any means, in fact his stats are actually quite good for a 4-star servant, but since he doesn't have anything he does well, he gets overlooked. (I honestly think Saber Alter gets more praise than she deserves because intuition, but that's another discussion)

Siegfried, on the other hand, has the anti-dragon niche. He's often paired with Georgios to deliver massive damage to a single target, something he will do incredibly well once his NP interlude arrives.

So it depends what you want. Siegfried is the better boss killer while Gawain is the better farmer.

You can get good farming use out of Gawain now and he can deal heavy damage to a single target when he can use an NP-B-B chain. Thanks to his 3rd skill raising his NP isn’t as bad as 3 buster cards makes it seem. Siegfried’s strengthening quest is still a bit off so you could worry about boosting him in the future if you’d like to use Gawain now. I have them both as well and that’s how I’ve played it. I’ve found Gawain to be pretty useful and don’t really bother touching Siegfried and don’t plan on till his strengthening comes around.

Both is worth raising, i have both as well ( Siegfried NP2 and Gawain NP1 both max ascended and max leveled + their skill level is above 5 ).
Plus other Gold sabers, like 10 of it ( AOE and ST ).
Some of my listed AOE sabers : Artoria Lily NP3, Artoria NP1, Og Nero NP 2, Salter NP1 ( got her yesterday, i don't have any material left nor ember cards for salter ).

Trust me, just pick who you like between Siegfried and Gawain.

- Siegfried is pretty fast at building his NP gauge and shot his NP again. Best used VS dragons, deal more damage than any 5 stars ST Sabers against Dragons even his neutral damage to dragons still equal to some 5 stars DPS.
With Georgios, you can make a balanced team with a DPS, Tank and support and even turn everything into dragons which can raise Siegfried damage significantly.
Also Georgios is considered one of the best tank available, useful in most harder content outside fighting dragons so it's a win-win conditions.
Siegfried is just simple, Indomitable against Dragons.

- Gawain is at his strongest time when the sun is still up there, and still a pretty strong saber without his specialty or without sun. He hits hards with his Buster gorilla deck, plus have a guts for survivability.
Be it AOE or vs Bosses, Gawain still can do both of the given jobs.
Equip Gawain with any Buster Crit CEs, Buster CEs or Crit CEs and his punch will be even stronger. Art of death is also nice pick vs humanoid.

Eksukalibaaa Galatinnnnnnnn 🤣, then wreck them using his next card.
He can solo some strong bosses alone, be it Lancer or neutral enemies.

Both is Invincible in their respective lore, Gawain Invincible at noon/sun is on top and his stats 3 times stronger.
Siegfried is Invincible except for his tree leaf Mark on the middle of his back, his Balmung become EX rank against Dragons.
Both have A+ base NP anti-army NP Strength.
DW will not make any servant exactly as same as their lore, FGO have a thing called balance of power except fo Merlin 😎

You'll be even more confused if you're in my situations.
Sabers in a nutshell, sabers upon sabers.
As i say before, just pick them based on your most favorite choice as both of them a pretty strong saber in general.
The bonus is they're just Indomitable in their niche/specialized DPS anti-specific condition.
You will use them both a lot for farmings anyway, no matter how you choose.
Though it's up to you to decide, that's only just an explanations.

i did a 10 roll 3 day ago (becouse i am an idiot and i cant save sq) and got 3 of him. plus other 1 when i started in summer.
