Anyone else like to hoard blazes?

Nah, I hoard embers in general, not just for servants I hope for. Probably cuz I'll never get the servants I want orz. I do it so whenever there's a succ rate up, I'm prepped. Also, the gold looks so pretty in second storage.

I have just counted my shame. I currently have 501 blazes of wisdom-all in my present box. I got a lot of them in the most recent lottery collect a lot of them all in one go during events. I even got a lucky summon ticket (sometime after 2 10 rolls and a few other summon tickets) and got Jeanne alter on her banner who is still only at LVL 50 as I don't have enough void's dust to ascend her. Now I know how much I have... I shall use some on her.
To continue my shame, I have 50 blazes for assassin hopefully for gramps in second inventory and another 85ish blazes for lancer to go towards Jeanne Santa Lily alter as I need a AOE NP Lancer and Karna refuses my summon :(
Long story short, yes i most definitely hoard. My condition is worse than i thought however. My plan was just get enough so If I summon Merlin I can level him straight to 90. I have significantly more than I need for that lol

I actually have a problem keeping the damn blazes, as I like to ascend my main units; also, have problems focusing in just one servant, as I like many.

And that's why, 5 months playing the game, Carmilla is still lv 70, Kirit is 60 and Scat Assassin is 54. Also, my 3 5* are still on levels 60-80 (2 of them being lancers and Jalter Lily coming soon will make this even harsher to change). I suck .__.

I've only been able to hoard embers after getting about 95% of my servants maxed. Since then, I've been hoarding all my lancer and rider blases for the Santa welfares coming up.

Well, if I have a servant that I want to level, I use my blazes. If I don't have anyone that I'm too interested in leveling currently, then I save them until I get someone new who is worth leveling. Just kind of seems like the natural thing to do though, so I don't know that I would label it hoarding or otherwise.

I don't level up servants that I don't intend to use, just because I've got some extra embers handy. And conversely, I wouldn't avoid using embers when I do have a servant that I want to level, because that would be kind of weird.

I have 244 Caster Blazes saved up just for Merlin. I could level Tamamo but Merlin. Also, Merlin doesn't need evil bones so there's that.

Currently hoarding embers and materials for Merlin. Preparing in advance is always a good idea.

I hoarded 400 or so embers for the Einzbern Loli Twins, currently hoarding for Jailter and Ishtar. (I hope)

Heh, I'm the same. I saved over 150 embers for Jalter. She never came home, so I just used them all to max ascend my Scathach, and man, I don't regret it one bit. She looks so pretty on that final ascension art. Right now I have over 100 embers I'm saving for servants I really want, like Gil-kun or my nigga Ozymaniggas. I'll save the embers I get from the lotteries as well, and whoever comes first will get them all. It's just as you mentioned, and I'm fully aware I might never get them. But it doesn't hurt to dream and be prepared in case it turns a reality.
