Trying to farm the last copy of Halloween Princess, I know Vlad can drop it, but does anyone know if whether or not he's going to drop it is calculated when the battle starts or when he dies? Can I save my self some AP by setting up a turn where when he dies my turns not over so if he doesn't drop it I don't have to restart the battle and wast AP for the chance to kill him again?
I don't know at what point the drop is calculated, but how does that make any difference? Either way, you'd have to at least spend the AP to start the quest, and when you do the AP will be gone regardless of whether he dies while your turn is still going on? Not sure I understand your question.
If what he dropped was calculated on death and he dies on the 2nd card of my turn and doesn't drop it if I quit and resume it brings me back to the beginning of my turn and gives me another chance to kill him and get the drop without spending another 30 ap.
Apparently it is calculated at the start of battle, so I won't be able to save AP using this method.
