Definitely shouldn't. I got through that fight by using Irisviel to cast guts on my whole party so Cursed Arm couldn't finish them.

Hassan Killed even with Guts
I got to the final hassan on the cursed arm, he was the last enemy alive, and my servant was the last alive. i gave my servant guts, and killed the hassan,
but guts didn't trigger.
is this supposed to happen? I feel kind of cheated

Anniversary blonde only has guts for one turn. As far as I have experienced, the instant death seems to happen after the turn has ended so the guts effect had expired by then.
Similarly I had to use Irisviel NP at most one turn before I kill, because 3 turns guts mean = casting turn + next turn + 3rd turn, but if I kill on the 3rd turn insta death happens on 4th and guts will not have any effect.

It's not a bug.
Fino Plays has talked about this and for some reason, these Hassan suicide buffs are coded to still kill the attacking servant if they deliver a killing blow without cleansing the debuff first.
I'm not sure if this form of instant death can bypass Guts, though.
In Shishou + Cu exhibition match, Guts worked as intended.
