Commiting to KiyoLancer? Worth?

So the Prisma Illya event came and went, and so did my timer to decide whether I should trade my account. I thought about it for long hours, and arguably too much for my own good... but I decided to follow my interest in Kiyohime Lancer, and sealed the deal.

That said, I don't want to make this post just about that. I'll put a spin on it, and ask this: Should I grail Kiyo just to 90? Or just go all in if I'm feeling it? I hear there are some servants that peak in their peak potential far before hitting level 100 (ie Waver doesn't need to be lv 100 to do his job) -- as much as I'm loving this servant, I don't want to be wasteful with this limited resource!

Honestly the purpose of grails are simple. For example one of my friends really likes Ushi as a character, and even with Kintoki he still uses Ushi for a reason. The purpose of grails is to make servants you really want that has better alternatives available to you, still be useful and have stats to match honestly.
People might Grail for higher attack just like Jalter's but honestly just focus on the servants you want. I grailed my Euryale because I liked her, and I'm grailing my Medea Lily for the sake of love and such so don't bother about thinking about gameplay when grailing.
In the case of waver it isn't stats that make him matter it's his skills. Even if a waver is level 80 as long as his skills are 10/10/10 it's worth to use him.
So just follow what you think and don't care about it and just Grail.

Reading this warmed my heart for some reason~ <3 Yes, you're absolutely right! I keep asking about Kiyo this and Kiyo that, I like her so much, darn it I should just grail her. If I need a Lv100 Jalter, I'll just go search the friends lists or something! In due time, I will give this fiery snek even more fire power! >:D

This. My skill levels are all garbage because the qp starvation is real xD

I mean you guys have waver, Raikou and, NP 5 gold servants, limited ones while I simply sit here with my Medea lily and other servants pretty low skills in general. Don't even have a gold berserker or extra class lol only gold Archer is Kuro lol.
Just like levelling my servants to max since I feel shy that My servants are low leveled specially the first random guy who added me before I added my friends rl.
My skill levels are also low and I'm down to a less than 10 million though.

Ah that's fair. To be fair I think I have spent a fair number of apples (including the rainbow kind) power levelling some weeks over playing some of the events or full clearing the shops. Skill wise...yea qp is so hard to get >.< At least the new event will have a lot of skill gems in the shop though :D

Haaa...finally it felt really frustrating having tons of rare mats, but not having the gems...everyone desperately needs such specially my Kuro, Medea Lily, Eury, Tama Lancer, and most of my servants

You have arguably the best Assassin other than Gramps (who seems more like a Saber tbh) and your Altera is easily one of the stronger Alteras in game (definitely the strongest in my Friends List) plus Sanzang who’s arguably the current game’s strongest offensive Caster

Plus Da Vinci and TamaLancer. And they’re all level 90. Your servants are A+ I’ve got a few limited servants but I haven’t put the full effort into making them great yet.

I'm quite proud of my Jack tho. My first SSR who one shoted fafnir haha. But looking at reviews get me quite sad. I'm happy they're 5 stars, but yeah...Well at least Altera is NP3 tho.

I don’t take reviews to heart and I don’t think you should too. I knew exactly what most think of Artoria and Emiya and half of my 4*/5* crew in general. I took that with a grain of salt and I made half of them my starting line-up.

Now Artoria’s undeniably my strongest servant.

Maybe lol. He was one of the first people to add me before I went on my ex luck streak. Back then my powerful servants were my 80 kintoki and my 90 herc. I had decent servants in other slots though like a 65 Hans, a 70 Euryale, 80 carmilla (she's still there), 80 Li Shuwen. Those were the servants that got me through Camelot, never forget.

Lol no problem. I actually have none of the good support CEs :o (bond point, qp, etc) but will probably start using Mana prisms for them soon. I've been using prisms on fous and sometimes on exp tokens instead of saving for the CEs. As pure dps or supports though I think I have some good CEs up :)

On the rare prism shop I honestly don't know. There's a few mystic codes I want to get from there just to have them. Really though the part about the rare prism shop that is a long way away but that I wish we had now are the character reskins that you can buy :( wtb beach kouhai

Grailing is definitely an act of love since the stat growth is linear. Kiyo is very possessive and can have yandere eyes sometimes but yea I'd say Grail her. From a gameplay perspective as well she's a good dps so worth grailing. I'll see if I can find space for you. Or actually I'll just remove your old account. Just a sec

..and yes! I'm trying to get her to her second ascension right now, but ahhh the darn Octuplet Twin Crystals aren't dropping. But the grind is exciting and fun, (even if it feels a bit mind numbing haha). For instance, while playing with command cards, I found out that KiyoLancer's Q/B/B Brave Chain makes her do a really neat Scáthach-like spear twirl with her Naginata on fire. Gaining stars has never looked cooler to me. xD

Ah.. well good news and bad news..! I got them all just as I was complaining in my post, so yay! But Bad news... well I could have most certainly used that AP for something else.. ugh. Oh well. I'll need more for her skill upgrades anyhow. I know what I'll be looking for in Nerofest! xD

Look at the shop items some time in their entirety. There's some good shit in there including golden lancer gems for the future when you may want to 10/10/10 your kiyo (10/10/10ing a 4* costs MUCH less qp than a 5* btw) and some gold lancer monuments I think for easy ascension

That’s awesome! And yeah, there’s nothing more disappointing than putting in the effort to grind an unlikely drop only to find out that the next event has them (damn teardrops, I grinded like 6 of them right before the event too)

But it’s worth it if you get what you needed haha

But I think it's a good thing!There's something nice about being able to talk to people who not only play the same game as you do, but interact with them beyond clicking their name and using their servants! For example, we might not think of this at all, but here we can post dumb memes! If we've got a good one on hand, maybe we can get a chuckle or two, and over all just have a great time.

That’s what I’ve been thinking too. I came to Gamepress recently (about two months before the Summer Events I believe) before that, it was a solitary game for sure. I didn’t talk to anyone about it nor was I able to compare with others in the 2 years I’d played. So imagine my surprise when I found a helpful, fun, thriving community on the Gamepress site.
