Bad Luck

Ok basicly, this is no question I just want to cry a bit anyway the last SR Servant I got was at the start of the summer event such was tamamo cat the berserkwr one meanwhile my friend (who did less summons than me) got tamamo Lancer mordred rider and Marie caster. Sorry if this post is unessecary but I feel like I'm getting fucked

There is no reason to be sad. We're getting plenty of welfare servants, pretty good ones. You should always do a 10 roll for the best chances. My first SSR caught me off guard, from a summoning ticket from 7/7 weekly streak. Just be patient, save some quartz for Musashi for example, or Ishtar. Then spend all your quartz on that banner you like.

We will get Artoria (Santa Alter), Eli Caster, Eli Saber and Jeanne D'Arc (Santa Lily Alter). Every servant here is pretty good, maybe Eli Caster is kinda mediocre, but you get them at NP5 basically for free.

Honestly, I tend to disagree. You may have better chances by doing 10-rolls and saving quartz for stuff, but I feel like this makes each roll you do have so much weight. I know plenty of people who have quit after saving like half a years' worth of quartz and getting nothing for it.

Personally, I feel like rolling every time you get 3 quartz or a single ticket takes the emotional investment out of rolling and detaches the enjoyment of the game from silly gacha luck. Plus, when you do get something nice, you feel really good.

edit: Just to expand on the above, I feel like when rolling a large sum of quartz, you naturally feel like you SHOULD get something. If you get something nice, it's expected and you don't feel as good. If you get nothing, you have bad luck and you feel scammed. This is very different when you're yolo rolling.

Well, everyone has their own opinion on this. Im the person who spends all his quartz or tickets the second he gets it. I've got some good things from it, like my first and only SSR Tamamo no Mae, Frankenstein, Ibaraki. I dont feel the need to have a lot of SR's, since we're getting a lot of welfare servants, and they will basically cover my needs.
Once i'll raise my Kuro to level 100, and then after ill level up Eli Brave from Halloween event, im going to level up Fran. Poor Fran is sitting on level 1, and i kinda need an AoE servant. Maybe i'll lever Artoria Santa, but im out of gems for Rider.

That kind of thinking is the reason why you are having such a bad luck my friend. I tried doing that at one point btw. Spending my ticket and rolling a quartz as soon as I get them and I got zilch! I regret doing that during the Scathach increased drop.

If I were you just risk the 10 roll quartz. You have a higher chance of getting lucky in the end. In my case ever since I've been doing that I've been fortunate enough to get some of the nice servants like Minamoto, Ozy, Altria(Archer) and a few more. Not to mention I've barely spent in this game. Around 10 dollars as of now and I've played since April.

Personally I yolo roll and I got some good servant

@PanzernKern, I think you missed my point, which was pertaining not to what is better for rolling, but rather to a way to manage expectations in gacha rolls.

Regarding rolling math, I'm also pretty sure FGO Tips did the math on this and the rate for 5* comes out pretty much the same between yolo rolls and 10 shots. The main difference was in 4* CEs. You can look this up on youtube if you're interested.

Finally, I'm not sure where you got that I am having bad luck. I'd say it's above average.

This is the gacha for you. Trust me his luck won't last and yours won't either. At some point it will be you getting either the steady luck or an amazing EX luck streak while he keeps getting black keys.

I know that's no consolation at all because in this game people roll for things they want not to get lucky. But it is something

Yup. I've had lots and lots of 10x roll where all I got was a 4* CE I didn't like. Then I got a couple of 10x rolls with a 5* and 2 4* servants (not necessarily the rate up one I wanted). The unpredictably is definitely making me lean to the roll as soon as you get 3 sq camp.

Posting this so your friend will hopefully get nothing but Spicy Mapo Tofu and Black Keys.

I sold all of my property to get as much Saint Quartz as I can. Now I have an infinite amount of Black Keys. All shall tremble before their might.

If it make u feel better my luck is E and a F2p. I only got 4 SRR...the fourth one is from the paid Gacha. I can't wait to see how bad it going to turn out.
