Is Pewdiepie (Felix) a servant?

(Jokes aside) well , according to fate(nasuverse) system, to become a heroic spirit you must do something beyond human capabilities or either gain fame, sooo "hypothetically" if we were in IDK 2050 or above and fateGO stills going he would be a heroic spirit? With 65 M subscribers and pretty much a lot of things except martial training, then he is well known for killing memes also Shakespeare is a servant. Whaddya think about it people? And how would you describe his stats and skills for the "Memes killer, king of YT and 9 year-old childs".

Not judging lol, just thought that this post and idea is weird af. Like, completely out of left field. I don't know much about pewdiepie, so I can't really make much of a contribution.

Also, I realise this post is purely hypothetical, and I'd hate for a rainy parade to be my only contribution, but realistically it's unlikely for DW to implement any modern figures into their game, especially those who're still alive, and ESPECIALLY not someone whose persona is copyrighted.

But, humouring this concept, if DW does ever include an internet persona in their game (again, I don't really like this idea but w/e lol) it'd probably be something like Kizuna Ai, ie, a non-living entity that has its roots in Japan. Or hell, maybe they'd just collaborate with some famous person and use it as an opportunity to cross-promote one another. Still gonna contend that the possibility is virtually non-existent though

Please no. Next you'll be saying Jake Paul as a servant. To be fair if in 2050 pewds was made into a servant..I'd say pretty much 100% it would be as a trap Loli furry.

Yeah..No. I’m just gonna go ahead and rip the bandaid off of this one. Not ever- quite frankly. Shakespeare completely revitalized the English language and left a mark that’s lasted for centuries and well before modern technology and media. Also, he wrote about heroes which is why his abilities are tailored specifically to writing stories about heroes and not actual combat.

Pewdiepie hasn’t done anything remotely worth being put into the history books and has a habit of using racial slurs. So nah. Hell nah.

Paul Bunyan is a servant though. But I agree, I really don't see him as having had enough of a cultural impact to qualify. Like at best people have heard of him but not really enough to be an urban myth

Up

Down

True. Plus the basic qualification (and the reason why EMIYA didn’t initially qualify as a Heroic Spirit) is that they have to do something that changes the course of human history. It’s part of the reason why figures who were traditionally evil or tyrannical also get placed as (counter) heroic spirits.

I doubt he could change his home country- much less the course of human history lol

Up

Using racial slurs is surely not even a factor if you compare it to the horrific things some of the actual servants have done lol.

Up

True. But being known for little else is :/ Not bashing on the guy. I’m just saying that of all the modern humans that could end up heroic spirits in-game, he’s substantially far down the list (give or take a few billion lmao)

I'd be curious to see if any fictional heroes from modern day fiction would make it in FGO. If characters like Jekyll and Frankenstein can be in this, it makes me wonder what other possibilities will open up.

Up

Yeah good suggestions, especially with Lord of the Rings. Probably on the same level as classics like Frankenstein/Sherlock Holmes/Dracula/Monte Cristo/Dr Jekyll. Other than the relative modernity of LOTR I really don't think there's much of a difference in status; if anything I think LOTR might even be more revered as a literary classic than some of the servants we already have.

That said, I do think they should stick with actual historical/mythological heroes rather than characters from modern fiction. Even ignoring the copyright issues, I feel like including too many characters from contemporary fiction would dilute the lore a bit.

Then how about the three kingdoms from chinese then? So far we only have zhuge liang and nothing from the story. I think its quite important to chinese history...

Up

We also have Lu Bu, but Cao Cao and Guan Yu would be great! Tbh there's a bunch of really interesting stuff in Chinese culture that would be great in fgo. Also, I never understood why they'd include Xuanzang without Son Goku. They also include Nezha in the future, so I hope one day they'd include his dad too lol

no and you should KYS. this is literally the most cancerous idea I've ever heard for this game, and I read the Facebook comments.

Up

That’s completely unnecessary. You can disagree with someone but that’s going too far. Don’t know why you’re so angry or offended but you need to dial it back considerably mkay?

Up

Tbh I don't think this guy's offended lol. Probably just using internet lingo, albeit pretty carelessly.

You’re probably right but still. Stuff like that’s just mad disrespectful. At least keep jokes in taste, ya know? You never know who’s reading it and how they’re taking it.

Yeah for sure. Keep stuff like that on 4chan.

What about Hitler though?

The only possible way I an see it kinda working is if they included him as a complete joke character, and even then the chances are too low to be worth it. Still too soon for quite a few people.

Hmm genderbend loli with a side shaved bowl cut like that guy from Jojolion. And since his tiddies are gonna be 10x bigger than his body, i suggest a wheelbarrow for each one lol

Come on, nobody will remeber him in 2050

Also as an extra to the OP, I do agree with you that history/myth does include modern figures, but I think to me and a lot of others, it doesn't FEEL like history. Like, when I think of history and mythology, the parts of it that I like the most have always been immensely charismatic figures who shaped the world as we know it today, or accomplished legendary feats. Otherwise, it's charming stories that make me reflect on interesting ideas they present, and mark a tangible cultural step forward that humanity took.

In comparison to that, pewdiepie is kinda just, uninspired? Sort of like whenever they cast youtubers in movies. Good for them, I know, but it completely breaks immersion and makes the whole thing feel like cheap pandering.

TL;DR I'm a massive fkn nerd, I don't want ur normie shiz in this game d00d

Up

I agree.

He doesn’t really fit in any Class and the Caster class is pretty dang accommodating for just about anyone- seeing as even non magical servants have ended up in there (looking at you Caster Gil. Ya ain’t fooling anyone)

Maybe pewdiepie could be a berserker since he screams a lot in his videos from what I've seen. Madness enhancement EX lmao

Up
0
Down

Oh god. Maybe he has a Skill that stuns enemies by bursting their eardrums hahaha

Up
0
Down

Wow. A berserker with madness enhancement EX and a stun. Depending on it's success rate that would actually make for a pretty good servant hahaha

Tfw pewdiepie unintentionally becomes meta

Up
0
Down

That might be the day I sell my account tbh
Like of all the bosses I’ve cleared in this game, Pewdiepie was the one that made me say screw it and walk away hahaha

But here’s the catch, the stun is guaranteed but it has a demerit: you lose your hearing for like 30 minutes and you hear the sound of a grown man screeching anytime you’re trying to sleep now :/

Up
0
Down

Dropped from tier A to tier C --> Needs strengthening quest lmao

Would his NP just be Ionian Hetairoi but with his 60-something-million subs :|

Up
0
Down

Probably. They’re all screeching too. Everyone is screeching. Enemies are now deaf, confused, terrified, and mildly disturbed. It’s the only Noble Phantasm with guaranteed instant death for all enemies

Up
0
Down

AOE guaranteed instant death. Still not worth the demerit ;)

Also I demand that Pewdiepie be doing the same pose as Romulus in this NP animation

Up
0
Down

Most definitely not worth it. It’s the only Rank EX+ Noble Phantasm because it breaks the 4th wall- literally (your screen shatters and nearby animals get disoriented).

I’m okay with that in the general sense that I’m not okay with it but Pewdiepie has to be as horrifying as he is loud.

Up

It all sounds glorious. Those poor animals though, they didn't deserve this :(

Also, his sprite is just an actual photo of his face with a brofist next to it :D

Dear god...Are we sure he’s a heroic spirit and not one of the Beasts? Lmao

Up

OMG good point, at this point he'd be more like the final boss of fgo, grand let's-player pewdiepie lmao. Appears as a raid with 60 million health, 1 for each subscriber he has

Up

Jesus. I think I’d rather fight true Primate Murder or The Beast of 666

They seem like less of a hassle in comparison lmao

Speaking of which, would Jesus be a Ruler or a Saver from Fate/Extra like Buddha?

Up
0
Down

I mean, they did say that Saver is an Extra Class exclusively for Messiah type heroic spirits but I wonder if they would apply that to Grand Order..

Up
0
Down

Well I'd say they'd have to. I think you're right, savers are exclusively messiahs, and I don't think there is a more well-known messiah than Jesus. Though I wonder what their advantages/disadvantages would be? Maybe advantage against avengers? Idk.

BTW, I don't recall rulers specifically needing to be christian, is that a thing? Like, all the rulers in fgo are christians : /

Up
0
Down

They’d probably have traits similar to OG ruler. I’d argue they’d be a berserker/ruler hybrid. They deal double to everything but take half from all classes except Foreigner from which they take double.

Damn..I didn’t think about that. Was Shirou Amakusu Tokisada christian? I knew he was some sort of religious but I thought that his whole priest thing was a ruse set up by Risei Kotomine to hide his existence

If that’s true,then wow. I can’t believe I never noticed that :I

Up
0
Down

Well I don't know how his lore works (something about einzberns summoning him as a japanese saint or something), but in actual history Amakusa Shirou was a Christian in Japan back when being Christian was illegal. He led the Shimabara rebellion, which was basically a revolt against the ruling shogunate by a bunch of persecuted christians and peasants. Long story short, it did not go well for him.

Also, your take on savers seems pretty accurate. They'd be pretty OP tho lol

Up
0
Down

Right. I forgot about that. They sent in a large execution squad and slaughtered nearly everyone right? I’m a little rusty on Japanese history but that does ring a bell

I’ll have to read up on it. I figured they’d have to be. I remembered watching the first episode of Fate/Last Encore where Buddha (very ironically) wrecks Nero at the end of that Lunar Grail War. Lore wise, she’s one of the stronger Sabers. Anything that tosses her like a rag doll would have to be on an Almighty scale

I doubt even Gilgamesh would be okay in a fight against a Saver

Up
0
Down

Honestly I don't even know how power scaling works in fate anymore lol

I remember them making a big deal of how strong sabers are as a class in zero, and specifically how strong Artoria is even among sabers, then Gil shows up and it's like, well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ , guess archers are better? Plus, Gil is so hyped up as a completely OP existence, but I'm pretty sure beings like the Buddha himself would be stronger. Also, nasu has said that void Shiki is one of the strongest things in the nasuverse, but I couldn't imagine how haha

Plus, most inconsistently of all, the archer class isn't even made up of archers! (Srsly: "hey I'll throw this thing at you, guess that makes me an archer" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

Up
0
Down

Right. I mean, despite how Grand Order limits them, all servants are superhuman and beyond so scaling does f##k all at this point hahaha

No doubt SHIKI is. Shiki’s Origin is centered around life/death (namely death tbh hahaha) If she can see a being’s life lines or whatever they’re called, she can kill them. Doesn’t matter if they have Divinity or Invincibility. Anything that’s not at least at the level of God, Type, or Beast can theoretically be killed by her.

I’m probably wrong but I think her Origin is connected to the 5th magic or something similar but on a much smaller scale.

And yeah, Gilgamesh is the laziest Archer of all. But then again, he actually used a bow in Fate/Prototype and I don’t think he’d fit anywhere else really lmao

Up
0
Down

I vaguely remember one of the KnK movies stating that Shiki is connected to the root through her origin of emptiness of something. Honestly didn't get it at all lol, can't see the connection but if Nasu himself says so, let it be. I still don't even know what the root was supposed to be. Thinking back, KnK went waaayyyy over my head : /

And yeah. I think the concept of an "archer" is just that they use projectiles somehow. Not that anything Gil used was typically a "projectile", but yeah, doesn't seem like he'd fit anywhere else. He did have that cool spaceship thingy in zero, so rider maybe? Idk

Up
0
Down

He did say that he owned every treasure in existence. If we’re only counting what he has, he could fit any of the fundamental classes

the root is the origin of all things: every event, all knowledge, all possibilities- even the Throne of Heroes itself is derived from the Root. It’s described as the Emptiness in all life. It’s similar to the balance of life and death if that makes any sense at all

From what I understand, the First and Fifth Magic were created from what was discovered upon reaching the Root while the Second, Third, and Fourth Magics were created specifically to reach the Root.

The Eyes of Mystic Death Perception recognize the ties that bind souls to the mortal world (meaning what keeps a soul separated from the Root) and make them tangible to the wielder.

If the First Magic revolves around creation and destruction, then that would mean that the Eyes are very similar.
That could be why Shiki’s Origin is connected to the Root

Up
0
Down

Wow dude, that was a pretty good explanation, thanks! And yeah, that's true, though I think at some point they said Gil couldn't actually use most of his weapons properly. Idk which classes he can be summoned in within the lore though.
