Mash or helena

In an arts team with artoria(archer) and tamamo, is better mash or helena and why?

Mash. Awesome defensive buffs post-camelot and a 20% targetable NP charge with invincibility. And since she costs no party points, it leaves room for fun CEs.

I would argue that Helena is better than pre-camelot Mash for stall teams, however.

The most broken comp for Squirtle is the most basic one: Tamamo and waver with a 2030 on one or even both of them and a formal Craft or black Grail on Squirtle.

Between those two though, definitely mash. While Helena brings nice offensive boosts to the table, Squirtle's main drawback (which Tamamo can't fully cover either) is lack of defensive mitigation. Tamamo and Squirtle herself provide enough offensive buffs in the form of those arts buffs. Mash brings the hardcore defense post Camelot. Also Mash's np, which is very easy to get off due to her third talent, does give a 30% attack buff for 3 turns which is better than anything Helena can provide.

If you don't need to worry about dying, I'd go with Helena. She can deal more damage and boost your NP gauge. Mash is useful for tough content, but if the battle is not particularly hard she'll just slow your progress down.

Agreed. In fact, Helena can speed it up with her triple-card boost lasting three turns and triple Arts deck allowing more NP spam, as well as having an offensive NP herself.

I frankly never use Mash except during tough story bits, challenges, and on Berserker farm days.
