So I looked up what where gonna be the next rate ups and I found a thread on reddit that had managed to be pretty accurate so far. It basically says that in the next rate up banner after the summer event will be for a x number of donwloads and Jalter will be rated up. Assuming all of this is true, which is a bit to much to blindly trust, who should I get Altria (archer) or Jalter:
On the one hand, the reason I wanna get Altria is because I don't have any 5 lvl archer (I do have a lvl 80 Emiya tho), furhtermore she is considered a pretty good servant overall. The main problem with getting her is that with her rate up will be shared with, at best(depending on the day), 1 character which will half my chances of getting her.
On the other hand, Jalter's rate up would be exclusive to her. Furthermore, I do not own any other Avengers. Even though she has the best offensive capabilities of the game, I find that 5 star Scratch is sufficently good as an offensive servant.
Keeping all of this in mind, who would you recommend (Also give me your opinion on their design, apearance matters to me in servant)?
EDIT: I was reminded of the fact that the other servants are 4* and therefore my chances of getting Artoria (Archer) are the same as Jalter.
The servants Archertoria will share the banner with are all 4* sevants, so they won't alter your chances of getting her. It just means that if you roll a 4*, it will be more likely to be one of those servants. You have an equal chance of getting them on their respective banners. As for which one is more powerful I'd say Jalter is stronger against non-sabers, and Archertoria against sabers.
From what I understand, the rate up only effects the chance of getting that Servant if you pull that rarity to begin with. It doesn't effect your chances of pulling that rarity. So even though Altria shares a banner, her actual chance of appearing isn't really effected. You have just as much chance of pulling a 5 star like her as you normally would.
So with that in mind, pull what you want. It is painfully easy to find someone with a Jalter, and she is probably more of a generalist than Altria, but Altria will be able to outpace Jalter in her niche.
Though, personally, I think her final ascension looks goofy. Fur Cape on the beach? Yuck.

Please include a list off all your gold servants, but I will still try to help as best as I can.
First off your chances won't be shared with any of the other servants on the rate up since she is a 5 star and the other 2 servants are 4 stars, rate up dosen't improve the chance to get a 5 star or 4 star just the chance that you will get that 5 star out of every other 5 star basically if a 5 star has a %1 chance than a rate up 5 star has a %0.7 while every other 5 star is in the %0.3.
First things i am gonna go off is the amount of rate ups each character gets. Altria if I remember gets a rate up ever year for the summer event and that's it so overall pretty average amount of rate ups for a limited servant and jeanne alter only gets one more solo rate up which is the download banner and then shares a rate up one more time with da vinci and thats the last we saw her. Altria overall is more common.
But overall if you're gonna pick one of them for gameplay reasons it depends on your supports if you have tamamo I would go for altria since her 3rd helps with np spam and damage, if you don't have any supports go for jalter since she can run fine off support waver and hans and if you have a waver just decide if you like playing with arts or buster teams more or design wise. "Side note" if you mange to get merlin as well as jalter than she will outclass altria by far.
Design wise I prefer Jeanne alter a little more since she has more backstory and has different personality to normal jeanne unlike altria, but I prefer the appearance the altria since its just seeing her go around with a squirt gun.
Minor correction: Altria only has a rate-up for this year's summer event and it's rerun next year. After that I can't be sure, but I think she appears again at least once more in another X million downloads banner somewhere down the line.
I am aweare of how the gacha is. I just got confused for a second because I thought that the other two servants where also 5* and therefore my chances would be worse than 70% within 1%. I do have tamamo, so that's a point for artoria.
Idk what was going on in this thread you're talking about but the Jalter banner doesn't follow directly after Summer. We will have the prisma causeway banner (Illya and a bunch of female servants), class-specified banner and the Nerofest banner (Nero, Nero bride) before Jalter, assuming we follow the JP schedule.
As others have said, your chances of getting Jalter and Altria on their respective banners is the same, so don't worry about that.
As for who to roll for out of the two, up to you. Makes very little difference in the long run, they are both great. What are your other servants? Would you rather have an arts NP spammer (Altria) or a buster-crit DPS (Jalter)?
Design preference is subjective, so your opinion is the only one that matters here. Idk why you're asking for other peoples' opinions on this, but since you ask, personally I think they both look fine, though I prefer Jalter's design and sprite more. That may just be because I like Jalter more in general though, who knows.
Imo, since you already have Emiya levelled, and we will be getting NP5 Chloe soon (she fills the same role as Altria, slightly less good at it tho), I'd say it's more worth it for you to save for Jalter. But at the end of the day, roll for who you like more.
I will also add here that Jalter will be much more helpful against demon pillar bosses due to her class resistance against them if that matters to you at all.
I'll keep it in mind. Regarding the design, I was just having a hard time with who looked cooler for me, so I decided to ask the community.
I'd vouch for that Salter pick too but roll for whoever you'd like.
On a gameplay standpoint:
Jalter just seems like a more feasible pick for you (as stated in the aforementioned reply) considering the plethora of archers in your comp and the upcoming welfare SR. SR archers are nothing to be laughed at and they can do as much work as SSR archers once fou'd and skill enhanced which is why i'd stray from rolling more archers despite being SSR. Also it's nice to have a servant without a common class type due to flexibility.

On a comp-based standpoint:
Consider what teams you have and roll based on deck/skill synergy. As an example, majority of my SR/SSRs are buster-crit based and a Caster Tamamo absolutely degrades the effectiveness of ALL of my comps so I never have her on teams. Squirtoria and Salter can both obliterate singularity/event nodes placed into the right comps yet do significantly worse if you can't get proper cards to land in your favor.

On a F2P standpoint:
Jalter's next banner comes out before Merlin's and right after Nerofest (this leaves us with a timespan of 1-3 months of saving). The chances would be in your favor if rolling for Jalter (that is if you save up from this point onward) as a result of having a surfeit of SQ by the time Jalter's banner rolls around. If you roll now with the amount of SQ you have (hopefully having a total of at least 90 rolls), there's still a chance you might not even get Squirtoria and be SOL once Jalter's banner comes out. I'd say you should indefinitely play it safe and amount to the magical 100 total rolls so you could at least sit with a single SSR instead of none.

Aesthetic:
I'm not gonna go over design philosophy here but if you're the form over function type of guy, Jalter's animations are pretty solid with a look that fits her personality, theme, and the era she's from quite well. Squirtoria's are pretty fluid while also being a great antithesis to her armor-clad knight alterations. Honestly a nice refresher on the eyes. Just watch a few vids showcasing them and see which ones you like more.
That aside, I think your safest bet would be to wait for Jalter but most importantly, use SQ for your waifus.
