New player summoning Question

Squirtle and Tama lancer are good servants. Kiyo lancer is a good servant. You never know you might get lucky. So if you need archer or lancer can always try your luck. Read the tier lists if you want to know what's good to summon gameplay wise

Depends on what you need/want. You didn't specify how new you are and what your lineup is like, so I'll be general about things.

- If you need a saber, roll musashi on the new year banner
- If you need an archer, you can either roll for Arturia or wait for Gilgamesh in the new year banner, or just use the welfare servant Chloe that we will get soon. All three are very good. If you are f2p, I would recommend you holding out on Arturia, since Chloe fills her role well and is free.
- If you need a lancer, roll when both Tamamo and Kiyohime are on rate up for this current banner.
- If you need a rider, you could roll for Quetzalcoatl who will be out in a few months.
- If you need an assassin, you could roll for Jack the ripper on the christmas rerun banner later in the year (October if I remember correctly), or King Hassan if you are willing to wait till early next year.
- If you need a caster, I would recommend saving your quartz for the end of the year and rolling for Merlin when he comes out.
- If you need a berserker, your only choice is to roll the class-specific banner in a few months (I don't recommend doing this unless you really want something from that banner).
- Jalter will likely have a banner too in a month or so, and she is worth rolling for as well.

The above are just the best servants of each class that will be on rate-up within about the next 6 months or so. I haven't taken into consideration which servants you like, but if there is a servant you really want to get, conventional advice is to roll for them regardless of their gameplay value, since the game is doable with virtually any servant lineup.

Lastly, if you are considering gameplay and are lacking in most of the servant classes, my advice would be to save for Jalter and Merlin. At this point in the game, Jalter is just about the best DPS servant (highest base damage, strong offensive skills, deals neutral damage to everything and double to berserkers) and Merlin is the best support (or he will be, when he is released), and they synergise very well.
