Will there be another waver solo focus banner anytime soon?

Will there be another banner with waver being the only rate up unit anytime soon?
If not, what are the chances of me getting him in the next closest banner with waver included in it?

Also this is a little off topic but when is Merlin coming? Should I just save for him instead of waver if there is no solo focus waver banner?

There will be no solo Waver banners for at least another year, if ever, as far as I know. I would recommend going for Merlin if you need a strong support. He is on par with Waver in some aspects, better in others. Also, Merlin is limited while waver is not. Merlin's banner will be at the end of the year, likely early-mid December.

If you really want Waver, your best bet in the foreseeable future is the new year/thanksgiving paid gacha. It's separated by class with a guaranteed SSR servant on whichever you roll. If you're willing to spend some money, you have close to a 1/3 chance of getting him (along with Tamamo and Xuanzang).

I plan to buy the paid gacha but I already have a xuanzang, do you think it's still worth going for the caster banner as there is this chance I get a unit I already own.

Depends. I'm assuming you don't want to NP2 Xuanzang. If you are reasonably confident that you can get Merlin (if you have >400 quartz to spend), then I don't think it's worth it. Not too much benefit in having Waver and Merlin at the same time when you can grab either of them from the support list.

If you don't have too much quartz for Merlin, it's up to you whether you want to risk it. Having said that, if you are lacking a good support servant, I think it'd be worth the risk since you could also roll Tamamo who is also good. Besides, getting NP2 of Xuanzang isn't that bad, though I completely get it if you would rather have a new servant.

Personally I'll be avoiding the Caster banner since I have Xuanzang too, but that's more to do with my PTSD from getting a second Vlad while rolling the previous guaranted gacha.

Is it possible to obtain 200ish free sq by December or do I have to spend a little? I currently have 180 something.

The risky answer would be to say you're fine.

The bare minimum to roll an SSR is 300SQ (or ten 10x rolls) where you can almost indefinitely hit the 1% chance. The issue arises when you hit the 0.3% chance of rolling a completely different SSR other than Merlin. In that event, you would need more SQ and luck to roll him.

Assuming you've finished Camelot's main quests, this is a rough breakdown of available free quartz between now and the second week of November (arbitrarily picked for "early November" when Merlin's banner arrives):

Camelot free Quests: 14 quartz
Babylonia Main Quests: 21 quartz
Babylonia free Quests: 14 quartz

From that reddit post that's linked by the person above:
4 Quartz a week from daily logins (21 weeks of quartz = 84 quartz)
2 Quartz a week from weekly missions (= 42 quartz)

Total: 49 + 84 + 42 = 175 Quartz.

Bear in mind that this estimate is conservative since it doesn't take into account interludes and strengthening/rank up quests (will vary between people; I don't know how many you've done/can do), bond levels and events/maintenance apology Quartz (I don't remember how many they give).

Just to add on, you have about 4-5 months before Merlin so that's between 120 to 150 days, you still have the 20 SQ that drops every 50 days of login. So depending on where you are, you can add another 40/60 SQ to that total number. ) all the best rolling for Merlin! :)
