Does ANYone know why pity rates don't exist for FGO, when they exist for practically every other gacha game ever?

Is $$ really the reason? Like, seriously? Other games make money. This game would still make ridiculous money with a slight pity rate. It only helps the f2p players. Whales are still gonna whale.

The company are just nothing but greedy money hungry jerks, they love to see people waste their life saving to try and get their favorite servant.

Recently started playing and I can say this is the greediest gacha game I've ever come across. They milk their players dry by abusing the fandom of the franchise.
...
There aren't really any other features that beat already existing gacha games and the conversation cut-scenes between the characters are dry as well.
...
Looks like I've overestimated how fun this game will be based on public opinions. Gonna stop playing and save my frustration before anything. Guess I'll just stick to anime and other media forms.

Money is most likely the reason yeah. One of the contributing factors is likely that people are playing anyway so they feel justified. More people might play if they added them but unless people really ask for them across servers I don’t think they would consider it. Of course I’m no businessman so idk how those decisions are made and I could be wrong regardless.

The game is completely honest about the rates. A higher rate up would be nice [Like 2% to pull a SSR. 6% to pull a SR servant], but it's fine. I think that the problem it's that the NA server gives poor rewards for each campaign.

Don't forget we also got master missions and 3quartz summon one year earlier. Also lots of quartz JP got were because of maintenance due to server problems. Can't compare to other servers tho, since i didn't play them :V

""Pity rates exist in practicality every gacha games ever.""

This is baseless lol, pity rate only exists in FEH, most gacha games don't have pity rates, and in truth 1% rate is very common. Some games even have 0.5%. Play more gacha games, dude.

Yeah, money is always the answer. There is literally no reason for rates to be as low as they are, they just know that they'll get more money out of it cos more people will spend more money for SSRs. Gacha life in a nutshell

The Salt is strong with this one. It's a company, of course the reason is profit, that's literally the only reason why the game exists, and higher rates = whales spend less to NP5 and dolphins/f2p have a smaller chance to whale out of desperation from the gacha hell. They Tell you all the rates and people still decide to spend (loads of) money, so it's not changing soon

While the rates are really cruel in FGO, I still think it's at least one of the better mobile gacha battle games as a f2player. The wellfare servants have been for the most part, top tier characters, and the FP gacha 1-3* rarity servants are as almost capable, sometimes even more so than 4* ones.

I mean I know a huge part of the game is getting the character you want as well, but I think patience is rewarded, and the friend system is a nice taster for the ones that were luckier or at least have more disposable income where 5* servants are almost wholly available to use as support.

I never felt like I was stopped by a paywall, and it's been a really enjoyable single-player turn-based game experience overall.

Pity rates are useless in FGO. Pity rates in other games are usually because said servants/whatever they are generally needed to progress/be competitive. FGO isn't a competitive game. You CAN win/complete the story (not necessarily event super challenges) with 3*s and 4*s and they give welfare servants which also enable you to "win". What people are paying for are husbando and waifu. Not to win. Its 100% luxury and on you. How much do they mean to you? thats for you to decide, but you are still able to complete the story and reasonably progress without your 5* husbando/waifu unlike other games.

Aged well, huh? Monkey's paw at its fullest – you asked for pity system for a years, and got the one-servant only, time-limited pity systems with the requirements only achievable by hardcore whales
