Shiki Assassin

I want to know your opinion about Shiki(assassin) and hers competitors, at the moment she is my main attacker and I love the way that she kill and made damage (I use arts team with tamamo and bride).
I was thinking on grail her (lvl90) but first I want to know if there will be another servant that can made the same role of her just to compare and decide that she is the best option :) .
I'm talking about assassin servants because in other classes there are a lot of awesome Arts attackers like Archer Altria, Kuro, Vlad, Bride, etc. but even with them on play Shiki still will be my best assassin attacker.

Shiki is good in her own right. Currently her competitor is Emiya dad who is also an art-based ST assassin. Not sure if you wanna count the coming-soon Shuten, she is art-based AOE.

Being a welfare servant, Shiki NP5 is easily achieveable whereas Emiya needs more investment to do the same amount of damage. Both have evade, crit boost, invinc.pierce, art boost and good star gen which are all very nice to have. Also, I have found Shiki's insta death niche to be extremely useful, less so for Emiya's target taunt which requires more specific set-up.

Overall, i'd stick with Shiki in foreseeable future.

Shiki is really good art assassin, well you would know better how good she really is, my personal judgment about her wouldn't be that far from yours.
Anyway, there are barely any competitors for her at the job aside from 4 other art assassins even on JP server. 2 of them aren't on NA yet, but they have a whole different role than Shiki while the other 2 is there, but she is still better atm.

The ones who aren't out yet are Shuten Douji and Hassan of Serenity, both are utility assassins with DOT focused and heavy debuff skillset.
The other 2 art assassins are Kerry (Emiya, but I love to call him Kerry to avoid any confusion with the archer Emiya) and Hundred Persona.

Kerry is a DPS, art star generator assassin which damage potential is able to equals Shiki even when your Shiki is NP5. They have similar skillset, but instead of evade, he has targettable taunt, which you can use as a replacement for evade. But, he has an NP gain problem. It's really bad, and dragging his NP to full will be a huge pain in the neck even with art chains, Shiki woulda fired her NP twice before Kerry did his first. Though, when his NP interlude comes....

Hundred Persona, is my personal favorite when it comes to art assassin. She is a flexible assassin, capable on taking a lot of different roles you give her, especially later when she gets her NP interlude. The sajd her NP interlude comes with art resistance down, the most useful debuff for art team as a whole. With that debuff, as a DPS, she can reliably spam her NP really well. As a support or sub DPS, she grants your art DPS NP spamming potential. With the debuff she can also become a solo specialist who can reliably fire her NP every turn. Though, right now she is limited to main DPS as she doesn't have the NP interlude now.

I'll stick to Hundred Persona for art DPS since I love to do solos, they are easy to set up and fun to do.

Emiya (Assassin) relies on critical hits and Arts chain to fill his NP. His targetable taunt can help him with that too, especially againt multi-hits mobs like the insects swarm. His NP is a multi-hits one so you get a 15%-20% refund after using it, generate some stars and is a boss control NP also (decrease charge).

The thing I don't like about Shiki is her packed skills : Evade + Crticial Up, Arts Up & Pierce Defense... The Evade Skill should be used againt enemy's NP so you only benefit from the Critical Up effect only after that. Sometimes, you want to use the pierce defense skill alone against some servants like Marie, Cu or some mobs but you usually leave this skill when you are ready to use her NP... Emiya doens't suffer from that.

I think that it is all down to preference who to use between Shiki and Emiya in the end.

Even with crit and art chains, it's still a problem. Like I said, the time you finally succeeded on firing Kerry's NP, Shiki woulda fired her's twice already if you used
the same team comp.

The thing with Shiki's evade is very simple, similar to Billy, you actually can use the skill at the first turn, by the time you reached the boss, the skill CD woulda depleted already. Also, since you would use her against riders who have a lot NP gauge, use the evade the first turn you face the boss and by the time the boss use their NP, the skill CD woulda depleted already, or almost depleted, in this case, you can stall the boss using a stun or something. It's barely a problem, at least for me anyway since I have more than one way to protect my main DPS, especially in art teams where survivability isn't really an issue. Also, if you run her with Tamamo, CD would never be an issue in the first place, Shiki got even easier time than Billy in this regard.
The same logic as the evade skill would apply to the pierce invuln, btw.

And, yeah, it's a matter of preferences, I agree. They are pretty much equal in damage potential, anyway

I agree with you but you must raise her evade skill to 10 to be able to do that and some mobs or Servants (Drake) have a NP charge skill so one must be careful.

I think Emiya is more easier to use (Skill-wise) than Shiki but less durable, especially if the enemy has a AoE NP.

Again, like I said, if you run Tamamo with her, this wouldn't be a problem, you'll just need to fire Tamamo's NP whenever you get it. It's trickier when Shiki's skill aren't maxed, but it won't be THAT much of a problem, though without Tamamo, it's a problem, but she is an art servant, and like I said, art teams have more than one way to protect themselves, one only need to explore a little bit.

Well, like you said before this, it's all about preferences, I'm leaning toward Shiki since she works really well for me in almost every team I bring her to (pure art, art crits, np spam team, quick-art hybrid, etc.). Kerry needs a bit more tuning than Shiki to work well for me.

Thanks for everybody for your answers, I could say that Kerry is the most comparable assassin to Shiki and taking it in consideration I finally decided to grail my Shiki to lvl90, first because I dont have Kerry and second because if I would have both I'm sure that I would use Shiki over Kerry.
I will roll for Shuten but I will use she as a support and wave cleaner and Shiki will remains as a boos killer.
If someday I get Hundred Persona I will powered up but they will no replace Shiki.
