Current Survey in Japan

I went through the JP News page on cirnopedia and saw, that they're carrying out a new survey.
Now one of the questions is which collabs the players would want to have in the future. Though it's not about collabs with other Nasuverse-titles. Instead it's (to me it looks that way) some random picked games, animes, light novels, like Overlord or Goblin Slayer or Monster Hunter. (just saying, in case the picture doesn't show)

Now what's your opinion on this? Would you wish for something like that? Because, although I see where the idea is coming from, I would find it more than strange to have anime characters, that have absolutely nothing to do with Fate/ or the Nasuverse in general, as Servants, .

Yeah I feel kinda the same that it would feel weird having characters from outside Nasuverse being made into servants. But on the other hand I feel having someone outside Nasuverse designing a servant wouldn’t be a bad idea, like what it mentioned in brackets next to the Hyperdimension Neptunia option.

I’m not at all against the idea of doing collabs with other series outside Nasuverse and just putting their characters in the game as servants but again it would feel kind of weird to me. And since using characters from other franchises doesn’t really add anything to the Fate/Nasuverse itself overall, compared to having someone else from another franchise designing a whole new character that could be made for The Nasuverse with their own background and info whilst still being heavily influenced by the series that the creator is from.

A while ago I had a dream that SAO Kirito and Asuna were servants, and the gatcha gave me bronze ember in my multi roll. About to email the devs complaining of bronze in the sq summon when I woke up.

I still think it would be fun to have some other characters in fgo if done properly. Emiya isn't a proper heroic spirit, so they could work something similar to his back story to work in someone to the universe without too much breaking of universe rules. Or nursery rhyme, she is a book, not a heroine.

Hm... I'm a bit divided on this.

On one hand, it would be interesting. It would mean bringing in characters that have little to do with historical/legendary/heroic/mythological figures as we're used to.

On the other... How would that even work? @_@

Every Servant we have are, more or less, figures from history, though some are arguably fictional. Otherwise, they come from other other Nasuverse works like Kara no Kyoukai and Prisma Illya, which follow more or less the same rules (mage craft and the like) as the Fate-verse. How would they bring in characters from a completely fictional setting? Then again, it would be interesting to see. XD

Seeing as Nasu said that Arc 2 would be the end of the FGO story, though hopefully not the game itself, maybe this is their way of prolonging the fat cash cow they have?

That said, I'm partial to seeing more Nasuverse titles before other, unrelated, titles. Tsukihime would be interesting. We already had Arcueid show up in Fate/Extra after all.

Well if I'm not mistaken, the way anyone enters the throne of heroes is by leaving behind a legend, being significant to mankind in some way, that your memory would live on. My understanding of that leads me to believe that it's entirely possible for something like Batman to be a heroic spirit. So if I've not misunderstood the whole thing, then basically they can work anything into a servant if they get the rights.
Also, kind of sad to hear that arc 2 will be the end of it. I won't be seeing it for quite a while since I'm playing NA only, and I don't know how far they're into arc 2, but I hope it at least lasts for another year or so.

Ainz Ooal Gown, Saitama, Son Goku, Kirito, Orcbolg has join the game. Don't forget Nasu also have another work that's quite famous, that's Kingdom Hearts.

Big names like this sure will invite more cash cow, not just from fate fans itself but it is can work globally.
Nasu is really a genius, that's why he can survive more than fifteen years on the Anime and game world. As long as he can gets a lot of bucks, he will do it to survives.

I can imagine if the Gacha would be even harder to tame, such a nightmarish things though.

On the one hand, I don't mind having things outside the nasuverse in F/GO. The way I understood the Throne OF Heroes, anything that left it's mark on mankind can be summoned as a Heroic Spirit anyhow. I'm sure the only reasons we don't see anything beyond historical and mythical heroes is, first and foremost, due to lack of rights. And second, because the the historical/mythical heroes fighting a magical war, is just an awesome concept anyways.

On the other hand, pop culture stuff like NepNep would feel out of place in a universe loaded to the brim with exclusively historic and mythical heroes. About as out of place as EliGodzilla seems. Even MHX has always felt kind of out of place to me.

In the end, as weird as it would be, If it means keeping the game alive beyond the stories true end, I'd be all for it. If it's a Nepnep collab though, the nep servants better work like Jekyl and hyde. I.E Vert's Noble Phantasm changes her into Greenheart
