Is Georgios worth it?

I've been using best Kouhai Mash for a long while now, but I heard she's slated to be nerfed?

If so, would investing in Georgios now be worth the effort even with how low his HP is (since he's a two star) and he's on the rider class (likely going to gather stars for himself instead)?

Then there's also that effect of his bond CE... will investing in him and his skills and to the point of gaining his bond CE be worth it for the later content?

From my information, mash gets 2 target focus skills when nefted and loses some consistency of the putting of denfese buffs so George might not be the best to pair up with mash unless sacrifice for solo runs and other gimmicks.

George is still good so invest a little in him at least until max level no need skills so he can tank full 3 turns and yes his bond 10 ce is certainly something I could use

So there's no need to invest in his skills and he's a viable replacement for Mash?

It's not really a nerf honestly, it's more of a change in how she tanks. Before she tanks by reducing the damage that the allies will receive by giving them def buff. After the change, she become more "offensive" and her tanking style change into becoming somewhat like how George tanks (tho George did it better hence why people said that it's a nerf).

George is always worth investing. Thing is, the way George and Mash tanks is different. George tanks by absorbing the damage into himself because of taunts, meanwhile Mash tanks by giving def buff into all allies, reducing the total amount of damage they receive. These two different way of tanking could lead into many different strategies so having both of them invested is better than only having one of them invested.

Ah so that's how... Now that you mention it, they do have different ways to go in "tanking". Never thought of it before that way and I've been relying on Mash's capabilities and haven't been using George.

Was just alarmed that my friend mentioned of Mash's eventual nerf. So thanks for your input! Cleared some things up!

Using typical MMO terminology, I'd call Mash more of an off-tank/healer rather than a real tank due to the one-turn out of six nature of her taunt. Raising DEF is more like a healer buffing ability. I've only tanked a fair amount in SWTOR, and I don't believe I recall any tanking ability that does that (well, except with how the taunt works in PvP, but that's special because it doesn't really stop attacks against other players).

George is great for hard content or if you are using someone super brittle (Berserker Lancelot, cough) and you really want to keep them alive. I used him in the final fight against Goetia to keep Jalter up and I was able to beat him the first time through and she didn't die. I also have his Bond 10 CE and that is really great as well. Probably, that is one of the few bond CEs that are really worth it.

My George is at 8, 7, 2. So, the first boosts his D when he taunts, the 2nd is his heal and I don't put much into his guts.

Totally agreed to this, i'm gonna add up a little based by my experience while using him.
I always use him when doing some blind run, for me i must bring at least one tank to cover my DPS ( to explore unknown nodes or defeating strong bosses ) and my DPS can deal damage without worrying so much.
He's very valuable for hard contents and challenge, i still need some materials to raise his 1st skill to 10, need that short CD taunt.

Bonus :

- my Camelot and Babylonia main taunter and i clear Camelot + Babylonia by using ''classic but Gold'' team set up, DPS + Support + Tank. Useful for almost any situations.
- He's one of my MVP at the FGO NA Nero Fest 2018, i don't need any CS or SQs to clear it because Georgios exist to protect my party members.
- unkillable vs Caster enemies, having a taunt + def up skill + heal + guts + his NP increase his def even further. Bring a damage reduce CE, def up CEs or NP gain CEs, he can make the fight into a joke.
- The key to unlock Siegfried ultimate power, Georgios is also his Shield.
- his Bond CEs is a must have CEs, we can equip it to a maxed Georgios ( normal team party ) or equip it to a lvl 1 Georgios ( for solo ).

Pretty much, raising the best tank this game has is really recommended.

George is a great tank and got me through Rashomon when I was severely underleveled. His HP is actually very high for a 2-star servant and why he's usually rated so highly. Like others have said, you'll want to pair him with servants who don't typically rely on crit stars, so that his star weight is a non-issue.

Always start with his first skill. Having it on low cooldown in addition to the high defense is George's best asset. Level battle continuation next. It's not a huge deal, but the more HP is refunded on death, the better.

I also generally put the Volumen Hydragyrum CE on him--3 hit invulnerability, so he usually takes no damage when he first comes in (I usually have him in the backline and sub him in with the combat suit).

Hans and Georgios basically carried me through Babylon. I didn't actually use Mash all that much, but did use her somewhat paired with Hans rather than Georgios.

Typically, I had Hans in the frontline, and Georgios in the backline, both with Volumen Hydragyrum CEs (3 hit invulnerability). For the most part, Hans and his heals kept two damage dealers alive until the 3rd battle. At that time, if the damage dealers were getting low, I'd swap Hans for Georgios who would typically stay alive all 3 turns of his taunt (maybe with Guts for the last), and the usual plan was to kill the 3rd wave within that time period.

In some of the harder battles, I used Mash as a 2nd support along with Hans, with only one damage dealer, who was usually from my friends list.
