Hey hey, I'm a new-ish f2p so far player of about 5 months, and like others I'm looking for a second opinion on which GSSR banner I should go for.
Current SR and SSRs I possess are
Saber: Elizabeth, Lancelot, D'eon, Siegfried
Archer: Atalante, Tristan, Chloe
Lancer: Santa Jeanne, Medusa
Rider: Santa Altria, Astolfo
Caster: Helena, Elizabeth, Gilgamesh, Nitocris
Assassin: Emiya
Berserker: None
Extra: Jeanne
I think I've ruled out Caster and Assassin/Extra already, and it's looking like berserker would be a good idea, but let me know what you think
For a newish player, the Caster banner has the 2 best supports to improve your team drastically. Berserker is good only if you can land Cu Alter, as you don't have the servants to make the other 2 work. Rider is also a very strong banner to consider.
In short: No Waver? (Roll Caster)
Have Waver? (Roll Rider/Berserker)
Don't rule our Caster just yet.
Asides from Gilgamesh, you're lacking in Caster support. Helena does well in a pinch (NP Gauge boost and 3-turn BAQ card buff) but her cooldowns are waaaay too long for when you get into a long boss/challenge fight. Waver and Tamamo are great support Servants. And, on the off chance you get Sanzang, she's not a bad Servant since you don't have an ST-caster for those Assassin class bosses (few though they may be).
But, if you're content with borrowing someone else's Waver and don't want to go down the double Waver or Merlin/Waver combo then yer a Rider or Berserker would be a good choice as well.
Rider has Ozy and Quetz as powerful heavy hitters while Berserker has Cu Alter (you might even get lucky and land Herc).
Thanks, I thought it over and decided I was fine using a friends waver/merlin. Attempted berserker and got vlad who was probably the 1/3 I was least aiming for ;^; really ought to have just bit the bullet and went caster oh well
