Got spooked by Medb instead of the currently strong riders in the GSSR. But with all the tickets and the quartz they gave (literally all. Took every single one and left me with 0 quartz, the very last pull before the Ball dropped.... I did get Memelin. After not getting him from the moment the banner dropped (and I put EVERYTHING into trying).
Wow! Getting him moments before the banner closed? Lucky you!
I must say I was excited to see the shop reset for more tickets before the Babylonia banners closed. FINALLY got np2 taiga. Rate up really is a lie for 3* servants, got sooo many other 3* before she showed up at the 11th hour.
That's what did it, top. I bought the 5 tickets. Let my nephew draw before he went to bed (8yrs old), no luck. Told him it was ok because how hard he is. Then right after the game updated - I thought the shop glitched (read afterwards the whole double tickets) and they gave me 19 quartz (giving me 51) and two more tickets. Made sure I did the GSSR.... and... yeah. Then threw EVERYTHING at Memelin, knowing he had hours left.
Then very last 3 quartz.... yup. Made me very very happy. Tbh, and this *is* a humble brag... since Babylon hit and Ishtar's banner..... I've had the stupidest luck... so ready to feel the rage? Ishtar. Then Enkidu on his banner. Then pulled Tamamo when trying to get Merlin. Then Medb (but that was a given)... and the last summon. Yup.
So there's my boasting and brag work and whatnot lol so you know, SOME people get stupidly lucky? My discord was full of happy new year and "F you dude" lol
LOL, I'm in the same EX-Rank Luck club, besides my New Year's Memelin, Quetz and CasGil (NP2 CasGil, mind you), I got spooked by Best Fox Waifu on a pre-holidays Babylonia Banner YOLO Ticket roll. Which means I now have the Holy Trinity of NA Casters (got spooked by Waver in the Summer Event Banners).

Memelin put me at 11 SSR. And gives the ultimate stall team of stalling. Fox waifu, waver, Memelin. So you know, no one touches them and they survive forever while I do no damage! Lol

Shortly after midnight EST when the New Year's celebrations were calming down a bit, I decided to go YOLO and last-minute 10-pull for Dick Wizard 'till my considerable Quartz reserves were exhausted (F2P save for GSSR Gachas, but last Quartz pulls were in the Prisma Illya events IIRC)... And got him on my first try.
Still in YOLO mode, I made more pulls in the Babylonia Gachas... And I got Quetz (dat feel when the silver Rider card short-circuited and turned gold...).
So basically EX-Rank New Year's Luck (although now I have to address the fact that I only have one Knight-class SSR, meaning that I'll have to pull on a Knight-class GSSR banner to mitigate the imbalance in my strongest Servants... #firstworldproblems)
EDIT: Oh, and I got CasGil too. Like I said, EX-Rank luck (still have plenty leftover Quartz too, though my Tickets stash is now nothing but a memory).
I'll trade you Medb and Tamamo for that Quetz. <.<

Well went good for me. In GSSR I got Sanzang and after 120 sq and 8 tickets I got Musashi too after two spooks (Dadcelot and Rama).
Rolled GSSR hoping for either Waver or Tamamo, got Sanzang (new SSR so it's all good I guess)
Redeemed the tickets from the shop,
First ticket = Fionn
Second ticket = Astolfo
Thrid ticket = Musashi.
Going to try my luck with Ishtar.
Came home after a new year's bash, bought 5 tickets from the shop, since there was still a few hours for the 3 Babylonia banners left ... and got Enkido! :D
I spent pretty much every quartz/ticket (f2p) I had before on them, so the last minute catch was appreciated. This is my first gold lancer and I liked the story behind the character and the art, so yaay.
Congrats! Similar thing happened to me. Been saving since summer for the Babylonia and Merlin banners. Got two copies of CasGil and Medusa Lily without Enkidu. Switched to Merlin banner, got Merlin (thankfully). Blasted through free quests to get all the quartz possible to try for Enkidu again. Ended up summoning him with one of the tickets we got for beating the pillars.
Thank you, congrats to you as well :) Out of curiosity, do you plan using the servants you got or is it more of a 'gotta catch them all!' thing?
GSSR disappointed me but 14 tickets and a mutli on the new year banner got me two new SSRs, Musashi and Orion, so gacha redeemed itself.
