AP management question

I've been playing this game for a few weeks and I really enjoy it. Up until now I've been able to complete all the daily quests and progress through story without any issues. But now that I've reached Camelot, I've been running out of AP quickly. My level is at 100 too so I can't rely on leveling up to replenish my AP. I also used up all of my apples early in the game because I was (and still am) a naive noob who thought apples would be given out frequently.
I'm most definitely going to reach the point where I can't do both the story and daily quests. I want to get mana prisms and items to level up my servants but I also don't want to be stuck in story while other people already finished it. Which should I prioritize? Thank you in advance.

AP management is one of the very annoying aspects of this game. You'll get 288 AP/day, but at L100, I think your cap is around 120, which means that it will fill up from 0 in 10 hrs. If you want to get the most stuff from the game in the shortest time, the key thing is to never cap out, so you'll get to spend all 288--meaning, of course, that you will need to play every 10 hrs or so. And never use an apple/level up and leave yourself over-cap for a long time, as that stops regen.

Level enough servants with enough variety so that you can go through the story, level the best skills you have with what resources you have and don't farm them. Then catch up on the story, then go back to levelling servants and skills.

My suggestion is farming daily quests Ember Gathering 30,40ap 1 time, Farming Qp 1 time the rest Ap will go for Main/Free Quests in case you want to go through both. But the most efficient way is to farm/clear the quests when it has 1/2Ap cost campaign. Main quests campaign will have some in the early months of New year or whenever a new chapter releases.

I cleared Camelot, Babylonia in ~ 6 days with nature AP regen and half-ap campaign.

You have 288 AP per day, 3 x 40 AP dailies cost only 120 and you have 168 for story per day that should be enough to clear about 2 section per day in Camelot/Babylonia.

As for which to prioritize... depends. If you want to play for efficiency then dailies + events then only stories. I did this, in fact I only play through story because of the 30 sq bonus (which is over btw). This way you minimize your risk of wasting AP by losing in battles and will be able to raise your servants fast enough to keep up with events like lotteries or Barbatos. But the farming events are also over and we have a long way to go until the next one so you have the luxury to take it easy now. There is no need to focus on efficiency too much currently.

Personal advice is to go through the story slowly while doing dailies, but prioritize all events. Stop stories when you are stuck unless you are fine with clearing stories with friend supports. You will eventually reach a point where your servants are max-leveled + with high skill level and dailies is not important anymore, then you can binge the stories instead. The FGO story is surprisingly well written in Camelot and esp Babylonia + Salomon, so it is recommended to binge the second half of those singularities to avoid frustrations.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I really appreciate all of your help (I'll continue reading this thread if anyone else has suggestions).

Something that worked out for me (I started a few months ago during summer event) is paying attention to upcoming events so you can plan ahead.

New year banner for example will have 1/2 ap cost for farming exp starting this week so you can put a hold on the story progression and make out the most of this if you need exp for your servants.

Just google fgo na banner/events.

As it was already said avoid being ap capped during the day, that's very important. Who needs a life anyway? xD

I don’t know if this’ll apply to you, but this is my experience: My style of gameplay is generally very stable; play until I hit a bottleneck, then grind until I pass said bottleneck, rinse and repeat. I also like to consolidate my strategic skills because pressing red is boring. Simply put, I just grinded dailies until my servants were way over leveled. My irl friends look at me like I’m some kind of monster, asking how I have that much patience, but I somehow enjoy grinding. I’m weird. I don’t get it either. The only exception was Babylon cuz of those 30 sq.
