GSSR class choice help

I'm a pretty new player, only started a little before the summer event and only have 2 SSRs (Arjuna and BerserCu), though I have 390 saved for Musashi and will have 50 tickets, that's off topic though.

I've been trying to decide which class I want to go with for the GSSR banner, I've been bouncing between caster, because Tamamo is cute and Waver is just Good, but there's the risk of getting Sanzang, who honestly I couldn't care less about, or I could do Assassin because either I'll get Jack who is not only amazing as a star generator, but also my daughter who I want to protect, or Jeanne who's hot and I'm gay. I feel like I should do caster so I don't need to use a support caster for every battle, but I want to do Assassin because there's no chance of disappointment.

Which should I do?

While you could care less about Sanzang, she's still the most offensive caster class right now, with a buster NP that can do really good damage if supported properly. Now, besides that, Tamamo and Waver are extremely good supports, and will fit into most teams. Honestly for Caster, you can't go wrong. (I'm gonna roll caster too buddy)

As for Jack, yes, she's a wonderful star generator, but honestly, if you find a Merlin support (which you should), then crit star gen isn't necessary b/c you can just spam his NP. Jeanne 's noble phantasm is a party invincible, but merlin can do that too. And heal. And buster memes.

yeah, I get that, it's just that I don't want to use a support Merlin for every single battle, it would get boring for me. I'd rather use supports I like, like my girlfriend's Okita, Drake, or Jalter, so if I could get the damage bonus from crits from Jack for say Cu+Musashi+Jack to get huge burst damage, or survivability from Mash+Jeanne+DPS, then I feel I would just enjoy it more, but I'd also just like to have Tamamo because She, or Waver for np spam with everyone because spamming nps is fun too

the more I talk about it though, the more I'm leaning towards the Jack/Jeanne 50/50, it just seems like I would have more fun with them, and I could even try to build a team without a support caster that just relies on surviving a couple turns and then exploding the enemy, or creating an ultimate stall team to cheese the game

Yeah bro, it's all up to your playstyle. I myself prefer what you just described, a stall team then explode the enemy with NPs right as their charge is highest. Jack or Jeanne are very good servants as well, with Jack's gorgeous NP gain and crit star gen, as well as Jeanne's enemy NP survivability. I suppose if you want the game to be interesting, then yes, don't go for a staller.

However, I still believe that a caster will provide better help in the long run, and all the casters mentioned are wonderful for bosses, especially with (------) coming up in Solomon's chapter. Idk if you've gotten there just yet.

request is sent! display name is Skye, I have nearly enough materials, so when she comes expect me to have an immediate 10/10/10 Musashi uwu, just need Andromalius to be nice enough to drop 3 more secret gems (currently at 161 kills), and I'll probably wait until after my Musashi summons to decide for sure, who knows, maybe I'll somehow get either Waver, Tamamo, or Jack from those summons!

and thanks for the help, just having someone to talk to about it has definitely helped me to determine what exactly I want! Even if I haven't decided for sure still it's helped me sort out pros and cons, and no matter who I get as long as it's not Sanzang I won't need a support Merlin nearly as much

I'm glad we have the same concern so that I won't have to post a new question. I want Jack but I already have Jeanne. Getting either of them is 50:50 , right? That's what I'm concerned abt. Either bet for that 50% chance of getting Jack or get a new servant from the Caster banner ( all of them are very good and I don't have any of them). Pls Help
