PSA for Those in Need of Gssr Help

Since people need a lot of help for GSSRs, I'll put in my thought process for GSSRs (gameplay perspective, because waifu/husbandos are different from person to person).
Try to aim for a role your current servants cannot fill (try to base it off AoE, or ST NP as a general rule, there are rare exceptions though), and if they do fill everything (both AoE, and ST), check if there is one of higher rarity you might want. Do research at grandorder wikia, and FGO wikia (now fandom), for specific servant stats and skills.
ST= single target
AoE = Area of Effect (would sound nicer if we started using MT for multi-target, but AoE is more well known).
Sabers: They're all AoE, so unless you need an AoE Saber, don't roll for it. Also, Musashi is released at the same time, so if you want her...well, all the more reason NOT to roll here.

Lancer: 2 of them are AoE, so if you're looking for a ST Lancer (1/3), you're better off rolling on their individual banners, like Shishou, or Enkidu.

Archers: Pretty decent if you're looking for an AoE Archer (2/3 odds). Orion is the only ST, and you most likely already have Chloe, so a bit of value is lost if you're looking to get Orion ONLY.

Rider: 1/4 AoE, and 3/4 ST. If you lack ST Riders, this is a great banner to roll on. Francis is nice, but doesn't fill a much needed niche. You'll most likely have someone else you'll want to roll for in the GSSR.

Caster: If you didn't have a 5* Caster up till now, chances are likely this is your BEST bet. They're all great. This includes Xuanzang, since she does well as an ST Caster, which a lot of people might not have. You can ST BASAKA it, but the most annoying assassin enemies tend to be ghosts, and they eat up NP if they hate you (main reason why fighting ghosts suck). Berserkers can't recover NP very fast either, so yeeeeaaaaah.

Assassin: Another solid banner, but make sure you don't have a ruler class too, since Jeanne is there. Jack is ST, and you already have Summer Shishou, so there's no need for concern in the AoE department.

Berserker: One of the weird ones, since Vlad, and Nightingale aren't your ordinary berserkers. Cu Alter is nice, but if you have Herc, you're good. Herc is also obtainable in the GSR ticket, so Cu Alter isn't a must have. All the Berserkers here are ST except Nightingale (Nightingale's NP doesn't do dmg), so if you're looking for AoE, just wait. Vlad is an Arts Berserker, so if you're not running him on an Arts team, he loses a lot of his potential. Nightingale is a support Berserker, but most people come to Berserkers for damage, so she might not be your best bet when it comes to Berserkers. However, since these Berserkers are 5*s, their base stats are higher, so they're still a good choice if you don't plan on getting Herc for your GSR.

GSSRs are normally for you to fill out certain classes, and ST/AoE stuff, so if you are rolling for waifus/husbandos, don't do it here. You're likely to get rejected with a servant you might not have wanted.

"Jack is ST, and you already have Summer Shishou."

Summer scathach is aoe np.

Sorry about my poor wording, but I was trying to say that Jack is ST, and you have Summer Shishou for AoE, so people won't have to worry about the Assassin banner not having an AoE servant. Anyway, lemme go add that in.

This covers most everything but the only thing I disagree with is: "Francis is nice, but doesn't fill a much needed niche". Drake fills possibly the most consistently useful niche in the game, being a powerful AoE servant who comes with her own 30-50% NP battery from Pioneer of the Stars EX. Her ability to easily clear waves with little to no help getting her NP up right away is something that will basically be good forever.

To me, Francis is like a farming rider and for people who already have Santa Alter, the AoE gold rider area is pretty much taken. When I said that she doesn't fill a much needed niche, my thought process was that the niche Drake fills is already taken, making it a lot less important of one afterwards. Drake fills that niche a lot better than Santa Alter, but in cheap2p and f2p eyes, covering more ground in terms of classes, and NP diversity is more important than excelling in a certain niche. It can be argued that Drake does spamming, and Santa Alter does massive DPS in one go (so they have different niches), but in the end, all you need is just an AoE rider to do the job. The gold rarity is just to assure that you have decent stats and makes for visual appeal, and that makes Santa Alter good enough of a placeholder.
