What are the exact stats on class advantage?

What does class advantage do exactly? For a lancer attacking an archer, is it 2x damage given and 1/2 damage taken? Does this change for Berserkers? I saw something about Berserker getting 1.5x damage taken and given...

Also, what are Berserkers mainly used for? I just use them for easy fights like daily missions to speed it up, since I don't like having them die pretty fast on tough battles. Why would you use a berserker over a servant with a class advantage? Even when there are a bunch of different enemy classes I prefer to use a servant with 1x damage given and taken... Are berserkers just used for speeding up fights you know you'll win?

Thanks!

Zerker take 2x damage and deal 1.5 damage.
Also Zerker Atk is usually high because 1.1 Zerker class atk modifier.
Assassin and Caster has 0.9 class atk modifier.
Highest NP damage chart also a proof of how powerful berserker is, with Lu Bu almost take all the spotlight !

They're used for various different things. Like counter picking vs multiple enemies/servant, vs assassin boss ( Caster damage is not too great ), most of them do the '' kill before you're killed '' job.
Zerker like Heracles and Chu Alter is an exception, they're so hard to die ! Also they have very high Atk.
Heracles even without his Bond CEs, can be a universal ST anti-boss damage dealer like we're used on Salomon Raid bossess. Plus he has Guts and an Evade.
Chu is just similiar to Heracles, tough + high damage dealer.

For example, when a you encounter Saber Class, Rider class, Archer Class and Zerker Class on the same node your best pick will be a strong zerker.

For me, i prefer to counter the enemies by using Class triangle system. I used Zerker mainly for clearing low level node and annoying multiple class enemies.
Zerker is my best Assassin killer !

It's explained in-game that Berserkers has advantage to all classes, dealing 1.5x damage but they also take 2x damage from them. You would likely bring a berserker for multiple class nodes, and it kinda helps that 1.1x attack modifier compared 0.9x like casters and assassins, assuming neutral damage.

Berserkers mostly shine during farming multiple class nodes. Generally my team composition is 1 ST with class advantage, 1 support and 1 AoE berserker. Raikou is a great example of an AoE berserker, much so now that Merlin is out there.

Oh ok I think I'll level one up when I get a good gold one since I've heard Tamamo isn't an amazing zerker.
But what about normal effectiveness on the class chart? What are the modifiers for attack and defense when a Lancer attacks an Archer or a Rider attacks a Caster?

Tamamo Cat is kinda fine, for me at least, but Kiyohime and Spartacus will outdamage her at NP since they are NP5 and have better skills. Still, Tamamo Cat has better stats than them.

There are no defense stat in FGO, only raw damage. For reference, Saber, Rider and Shielder has 1.0x modifier, Lancer has 1.05x, Archer has 0.95x, Caster and Assassin has 0.9x and Berserkers, Ruler and Avenger has 1.1x. There is also a hidden attributr damage like Man, Earth, Sky and Star, but they are mostly disregarded.

Normal effectiveness on the class chart is 2x damage dealt and 0.5x damage received except for berserkers. Berserkers are 1.5x damage dealt and 2x damage received.

If you don't have a servant with the class adavantage, or the enemies are made up of different classes and you want to deal more damage to them, then the berserker class is for you. Especially ruler and avengers, ruler is only weak to avenger and berserker while avenger is weak to berserker only (for now in NA).

If you prefer to deal and receive neutral damage, then avenger/ruler would do (especially ruler since the 5 classes saber, archer, lancer, assassin, and caster deal 0.5x damage to ruler).

If you want to clear waves with multiple enemies having different classes, then an AoE NP Berserker will do the job perfectly.
