For Scathach her next pick up is next year thanksgiving...

Should I roll for Gilgamesh or Scathach or King Hassan?
Title says it all. I currently have 450 quartz and 50 tickets ready to roll when the new year comes. However, I'm undecided over who I should roll for.
Gilgamesh - I always kinda wanted him since he's a top tier damage dealer and buster crit servant. Plus I have Merlin, so there's definitely some sort of synergy. However, I already have an AoE buster archer (EMIYA) so I don't know whether it's necessary.
Scathach - Wanted because she can dish out incredible burst damage. And I find her design appealing, and I lack a strong ST lancer (Only have a lvl 70 Cu). But I don't think I have any strong supports for her - I only have Merlin and Hans, unless I pull Waver from the GSSR. Besides, I've always been a gameplay > waifu guy.
King Hassan - Everyone's hyped about him, and my only ST assassin is Kiritsugu (I joined after the Garden of Sinners event). Is he really that good? I see that he has a BBBAQ deck with a buster NP, so I guess Merlin would help him out a lot too.

Really? Wouldn't both Gil and Scathach be on rate up during the new year? According to Cirnopedia, the New Year banner includes Musashi, Gilgamesh, Shiki Saber, Iskandar, Illya, Kintoki, Scathach and Ishtar.

We already had our thanksgiving banner instead so there is a chance that they won't release that banner. Musashi is probably still going to be available though but not in alternate days as in JP.
Anyway Emiya is usually not the best when it comes to AOE niche, so it is not unnecessary to get Gil.
But gameplay wise, King Hassan is likely to be more relevant to your line up. Kiritsugu is not a very solid Assassin when it comes to damage dealing. King Hassan is very strong, hard hitting and self-sufficient even with BBBAQ deck because of his awesome NP/star rate. Not to mention that he synergises well with Merlin. Just for the sake of comparison, he is often compared to Jack as the best 2 Assassin in the game. I used to have Kiritsugu and Carmilla but once I rolled Jack, I refuse to use any Assassin other than her because of her clear superiority (generally). There are not many 'good' Assassins around so rolling for him is generally a good idea.

Damn it. Was really hoping for another chance to roll for Gilgamesh and Scathach, as I refused to roll for them previously since I was saving for Merlin. Oh well. I guess I'll roll for KH then.

In your case id say save for King hassan. He's a buster NP so Merlin helps him a lot (reread your post. Just as you said). I myself was wondering about this But I happen to be a huge Gil fan.

Hmm, if we're talking about Buster oriented servants, what makes you choose KH over Gilgamesh? Gil's a better buster crit servant than KH, isn't he? Or does KH deal a lot more damage than Gil when it comes to boss fights?

I love Gil but I'm favoring KH. My main reason is class advantage - someone to kill riders that threaten Merlin. KH also has 3 buster cards vs Gil's 2, so Merlin's a touch more useful. His Insta-kill resisitance is also useful. Availability wise KH only gets the 11M DL banner after this, but Gil gets 2018 and Battle of NY.
I haven't found much use for Scathath with my Buster oriented team, so I just borrow her when it's God hunting season.

I would recommend going for Hassan,then who knows you might still have a lot of SQ for Gil

GIl is definitely better than king hassan in almost every way. And considering future content, there will be a lot of fights with multiple servants, all with different classes and gil has an advantage over all most servants. His crit damage is also unparalled. And with merlin, you can dish out some serious damage. Definitely consider gil because Kiritsugu is a good enough assassin in his own way and gil can do what most servants cannot. His NP post interlude will deal near single target damage to waves with some buffing. And merlin can make up for gil's only ie, his lack of defense. Also, hassan will be available again after fate extra, but gil is available only once this year.
