So until Barbatos was dead I didn't actually look up the rates and realize how good he was compared to others. From what I can tell the drops on the other pillars aren't actually anything special compared to grinding those materials on free quests. Is it worth apples on the others? I already beefed the barbatos time trying to get a different pillar materials since I figured all of them would have great rates compared to normal.
Really its up to you. Look up the servants you are working on and look at the other drops and farm those. I know for myself that there are a few pillars I plan to farm because I need the mats for my servants and will be using apples.
What I mean is, is there any reason to hit pillars for mats? the drop per AP appears to be practically the same as in the ideal free quest for most materials.
The AP per drop may be more or less the same, but consider the fact that they all drop from one quest.
The 'ideal' farming location is at 1 material per map whereas these raids have 4 materials per raid plus a ton of QP.
Barbatos was the only one most people needed, so you can take it easy for now. Or you can keep farming whatever other pillar that looks nice to you. I'm done farming for now after 75 clears of Barbatos .
Well if the ability to be able to get:
1.) Multiple Types of Materials (in a single run if lucky)
2.)Skill Gems
3.) QP
Isn't good enough for you, then don't grind pillars as hard as Barbie. This let's people who actually want to grind them be able to slip in a few more runs.
They're certainly better than the best alternative free quest - a 30AP quest that drops 3 materials (plus lots of QP!) with a much higher rate than normal, that can be completed in as little as 1 turn thanks to being a single boss rather than 3 waves - but whether they're worth applies is down to how much you need that material.
Personally all of the others drop only one in-demand material, and so I'm not going to be farming them hard. If you need all three materials from a certain node however, then that is undoubtedly the single best farming node you'll find for at least the forseeable future, so you may as well grind it.
