Overview
- Mandatory NPC Support Charlemagne and the Master's own Mash Kyrielight must be placed on the frontline. Mash will help clear undesirable effects inflicted by the boss, while Charlemagne gains a few helpful buffs.
- James Moriarty is Ruler Class and has four HP bars (156k, 208k, 305k, 200k HP).
- Moriarty starts with permanent buffs that include 3k HP regen per turn, 100% Buff Removal Resist, and decreased Critical Rate.
- The boss's NP is drained to 0 every break, so Masters can indefinitely prevent the boss from using his NP if HP bars are broken in time.
- First Break the boss gains unremovable 50% Evade for 3 turns, while also sustaining a permanent 20% Quick Resist debuff. The Critical Rate debuff is also removed from the boss.
- Second Break, the boss gains Crit Rate and Crit Damage buffs, while getting a permanent 20% Arts Resist debuff.
- Third Break, the boss loses all buffs, and gets a permanent 20% Buster Resist debuff.
Team Recommendations
- This battle can technically be done with the NPC Supports alone with low rarity support (see video).
- Single Target Avengers are good choices for this encounter due to Class Advantage.
- Alternatively, Trait Bonus Damage Dealers are another option.
- NP Gauge and Damage Supports are helpful as always, and particularly for this encounter since rushing damage on the boss to break his HP bar also prevents him from using his NP on the party.
