Valentine's 2023 - Tier List Change Log

Tier A

Caren is an AoE Quick Ruler Servant who is both a capable farmer while also providing an arsenal of diverse utility effects. She has the ability to charge her own NP Gauge by up to 50% on demand, an additional 10% Gauge per turn that must be absorbed from allies, both of which support her NP looping capabilities. Offensively, she has all three flavors of buffs, including ATK, Card, and NP Damage, while also being capable of applying a myriad of debuffs including DEF and Quick Resist down. Defensively, she has an invincibility skill that gives her allies 1 hit, and herself 3 hits of invuln across 3 turns, making her one of few with a coveted AoE hard defense option. She also provides many useful effects in her kit, including a taunt, two NP Gauge drains (one AoE, one ST), and a Buff Block effect on her NP, giving her excellent utility coverage if she's available in the party. Caren is an excellent Servant overall, and excels in particular if powerful Quick support is available. Her 10% NP absorption effect from party members can be somewhat awkward to play around, although the coverage of her kit and her capability as a farmer is undeniable, and she makes for an excellent addition to the roster.

Tier D > D

Boudica's latest upgrade from the Grail Front event provides a buff to her ability to support allies' sustenance, making her Guts skill targetable and adding a Max HP Up effect. In addition, the cooldown of the skill is reduced by 1 turn, helping with its uptime slightly. The upgrade is very welcome, and makes her helpful to keep in mind as a free option for targetable Guts for Servants that can utilize Guts-triggered effects, although it was agreed that the change isn't substantial enough to change her tier placement.

Tier E > D

Caligula gains an NP Upgrade with his latest Rank up, which adds a 30% DEF debuff to all enemies that lasts three turns. This effect is much more widely useful compared to its prior effects of only Skill Seal and NP Seal. Although Caligula is still somewhat niche, there was enough push for an upgrade for his placement for him to reach D tier (scores are rounded up). He is definitely still an effective Berserker, and his Roman trait opens up options for him for setups as well. Although still niche, his upgrade does help his applicability.

Tier C > C

Kid Gilgamesh gains a new upgrade with the latest Valentine's event, greatly improving the consistency of the Charm, while also adding a small sum of stars each turn across 3 turns. The increased consistency to the charm is certainly helpful, as well as the crit star generation, although it was agreed that this does not change him substantially enough to warrant a tier shift.
