If general, multi roll is the best choice because it has a 4 star gurantee. But if you really want to get an ssr, I suppose 1X pulls give a better chance because its like restarting the probability multiple times compared to 10X pulls where the probability is staying in a single value.

Not unless they have screwed up the programming. Every pull is an independent trial, and there should be absolutely no advantage one way or the other, except for the guarantee.

The only trade off is the guarantee vs saving SQ by stopping if you get your servant.

As for the guarantee... the guaranteed 4* occurance is easily calculated as the odds of receiving 10 x 3* cards. Since it's a 40% chance for either a servant or CE, the chance on a given roll is 80%, and therefore the odds across 10 rolls is 0.80^10, or about 10.7%. So, about 1 in every 9 or 10 30-pulls will result in you getting a 4* you wouldn't have gotten otherwise. But nothing's been said that I've ever seen as to how they decide what that card is. My guess is that they eliminate the 3* cards in the loot pool, so the card you get is in the ratio of 1:3:4:12 which are the probabilities of getting the 4/5* from a pull. If so, then your chance at a 5* servant is 5%, 4* servant 15%, 5* CE 20% and 4* CE 60%.

The odds of activating the 3* or better servant part of the guarantee is also easily calculated. It's the same as saying you only get CEs, as there are no 2* or less in the pool. The chance of not getting a servant on a roll is 56%, so the chance of not getting one in 10 is 0.56^10, or about 0.2%. Yes, the odds are 1/5 that of getting a 5* in the first place. And then, if my guess above is correct, the servant you'd get is probably in the ratio of 1:3:40, or 2% for a 5*, 7% for a 4*, and 90% for a 3*.

I'd have to think about the odds of getting either of these occurrences in order to calculate the odds of the guarantee happening, but given the small chance of the second, it is not going to be much different than the 10.7% chance for the guaranteed gold card.

So, you'd have to decide if the guarantee or the potentially saved SQ is more important to you.

My rule has always been if there is an event CE that I want or is beneficial for event farming I do multi pulls to rack up CEs at the same time.

Like New Years, I really like First sunrise not everyone thinks it’s that great or necessary for gameplay, but I wanted to MLB it so I did multi pulls for servants and First sunrise.

For summing campaigns with no CEs liken Jalter or First Hassan I do single pulls
