I'm relatively new (played on/off for a couple months) to FGO, just started the Third Singularity. I understand how most feature work pretty well, even Palingenesis. But I'm not sure who I should pull for to fill out my roster. I have:
Lv.55 Cu Chulainn (plan to grail him, favorite servant), Emyia, d' Eon, Kid Gil, Saber Gilles w/ max NP, Sasaki w/ max NP, Ushiwakamaru, Caster Cu, Medea Hans, Asterios w/max NP and Spartacus /w max NP
Sorry for such a long list, but wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. When would be the best time to spend my saint quartz?
Edit: Forgot to mention, if you notice that I only have 3 4*, its because I have the luck to get my 4* guaranteed as CE's normally. And I've also excluded a few 3*&1/2* that I'm not using or leveling.
If you want the game on easy mode, "wait and hope" for Merlin later in the year. He pairs well with a lot of servants, especially those with buster NPs. Or wait for Musashi, Ereshkigal, King Hassan, MHXA, Amakusa, Meltlilith, Nero Caster, all of which are very good servants. Hope that helps!
Just summon for your favorite characters. Most of the content are easily cleared with low star Servants with a good Friend Support.
Summon whoever you want. It's entirely possible to clear the game, and even challenge quests, using the right combination of 1-3* Servants.
So go ahead and summon your favorite waifu/husband regardless of how well they do for gameplay.
But for gameplay, I suggest waiting for Servants like Merlin, Waver, or Tamamo Caster. With a good support Servant, you can just borrow a strong DPS from your friend list.
Try to summon (or save) for the servants you want, but if you want a recommendation, try for Heracles or Cu Chulainn Alter.
Any high tier servant is good, but I think Heracles and Cu Chulainn Alter are some of the best because they are some of the most versatile servants (Berserker's with high damage output and survivability).
Between those two, I'd say try for Heracles, because he's a 4*, and therefore you would be more likely to pull him than 5* Cu Chulainn.
