What to roll for

First of all, do we really need to have at least one ST and one AOE servant on every class, of course for gameplay purposes.

For future roll, i really like to make every class of my servant have a 5*, cause i already fulfil the all gold on every class. And i know thats really hard for a F2P like me.

To clarify my question, i'll give an example. I have already 4 ssr right now, which is jalter, altria, orion, and tamalancer. And i do want to roll for musashi in the new year banner. But that will kind a waste since i have ssr Saber already which is altria. I know that they do a different thing cause musashi is ST.

This what lead me to my question, do servant i have like altria will fulfil the roll as a ssr Saber(for mobs ofc, boss fight will be another prob i have to deal with), so i can skip musashi for another servant i want, like holmes and hokusai. I know they still have a year to come, but i did like to plan ahead to make sure i use my SQ wisely.

Yes. I am doing that because you can't actually count on your AoE servants that much on boss fights and it will make the fights easier if you will have an ST servant. Though, you can use your AoE servants as supports to get more FP points since most of the time, we are farming everyday for mats and embers. I have gold servants on almost every class both AoE and ST aside from Avenger and Ruler. Never managed to get Amakusa Shirou and Jalter but I have Ruler Martha. There are also no Aoe avenger yet on NA but I am looking forward to Gorgon. 🤩

Um...Edgelord is an AOE avenger and a valuable part of braindead double Skadi farming comp in JP. Just saying though xD

Real talk though seeing what you have already what I see missing are a top tier caster support and a top tier assassin for star gen. So the top candidates you should whale on and go hard for become Merlin and Jack or Gramps depending on preference. I know you can use a friend's Merlin or star gen (guess what memelin also gens stars with his np \o/) but it is important to have at least one support of your own. While Hans and best kouhai do work in that regard, they've got nothing on how broken a double memelin comp or memelin waver comp has

Yea, im planing to roll for merlin, but his banner is close to musashi. And that's the main reason why im aksing this, but i forgot to say it.

I'd go all out for Merlin. If you get lucky (and I hope you do) you get him within the first few tickets or ten pulls and have quartz left over for musashi. There's no need to np2 Merlin.

On the other hand if musashi is waifu tier or you really want her, forget gameplay. It should be renamed waifu Grand Order because the game is much more about collection than playing an rpg. The rpg is just an added fun part of it! From a gameplay perspective though, Altria seems very poor right now but she does eventually get a strengthening quest you know that makes her as powerful as she should be.

Musashi would get a rate up in October or late September due to Epic of Remnant's Shimousa chapter, so don't worry about her and focus on Merlin. Everyone really forgets about Shimousa even though it's an awesome chap according to what I hear.

Mmhmm. Merlin and/or King Hassan (or Jack) seem to be what you need most. Those are the ones I’d recommend

Roll SSR servants for posterity/bragging rights or for waifu purposes. The game is clearable with silver servants so don't worry acquiring servants for gameplay reasons. SR and SSR servants are really just a "win better" condition.
