What are the jp players thoughts about Murasaki?
I was initially torn about the newest jp servant, her initial design seemed odd and before her skills were translated I expected her to be rather poor. Well my opinion improved after testing her out.
Murasaki's third ascension form fixes the appearance for me, her attacks are amusing and I love the NP.
I'm still not sure where to put her in a team since she feels like a 60% support and 30% damage dealer with the final 10% as farmer.
Pros:
*Decent np gain due to high hit count
*Good np refund, I've seen up to 35% without any buffs
*Some NP burst damage (low normally but high for demons)
*High attack for Casters
*Niche against demons, both as support and self
* Short cooldowns on skills and they lasts 3 turns
*NP steroid lasts 3 turns plus charges np 20-30%
* Party wide support
*Defence against debuff and cleanse, good for Challenge Quests?
*Buff block on np
Con:
* Low hp and no survival except 3 time damage cut
* Damage cut is less effective on weaker attacks
* NP Seal capped at 80%
* Only 2 arts cards
* Demons are a minority
* NP damage is not that high outside of her niche
* Currently no node for her skill material outside of event
* Lower magnitude on np steroid due to 3 turns (10-20%)
I think I understand that her card deck and skill values were chosen due to balance reasons.
With a triple arts cards she would have a pretty easy time to reach 100%, even now you can almost get there with a NP-A-A chain if there are 3 enemies and she crits.
As for her np steroid it might have been overkill in her niche if it had been perhaps 40% for a turn but outside of it would have helped. It does have the advantage of lasting enough for a second np.
Teams:
Right now I'm leaning between thinking she would be best friends with Raikou or Rama as support due to her first skills extreme value on demonic enemies.
She could probably also work well with Tamamo and Mash/Waver since they cover her weaknesses with good defence, healing and arts+ strong np buff.
My opinion:
All in all I think Murasaki is my favorite aoe caster and while her kit will not live up to its full potential most of the time I'll still roll for her in 2021.
It will be a while but I'm eager to see how she will do against a demonic Assassin class with her skills maxed and a Tamamo support.
I'm curious to what your early opinions regarding Murasaki are in general or if you want to be more specific .
