Team comp / Np Level / Where to spend AP

Hi, Everyone.
I'm relatively new to the game (Been playing for about 2 weeks) and have few questions.

1. Team Comp
I got Shuten and Orion and was wondering how well they do together and which 1~4 stars should I look for in the 3rd slot with them in the front team ?
I was thinking going for a crit team with Ushiwakamaru where :
- Orion is the main crit damage dealer.
- Shuten provide utilities (AoE debuff and buff) and help with star gen.
- Ushiwakamaru help with stars gen and NP gen.
Will it work? What would you recommend? Should I focus more on Art Team with these two Servants?

2. Np Level
Does Leveling up NP only makes so that you can overcharge it or does it provide more damage even at 100%?
Let say I have Orion NP2, would the 100% charge deal 1200% or only 900% ?

3. Where to spend AP
I was wondering which was the most efficient. Rushing Servant and Master Level through daily or rushing the story?

Thanks,

1. Shuten and Orion work fairly well together both being arts focused servants and Orion being a decent crit user goes well with any assassin I wouldn't call it the greatest combination every but its definitely solid. Both of the defiantly go on an arts team and I would suggest a support Waver(Lord El Melloi II) as the final character for such a front line. Worth noting Orion/Tamamo/Waver is one of the games stronger bossing teams(especially against males) should you ever get tamamo/waver you could fill the other with support.

As for Ushi the problem you'll run into is that the rider class has a higher crit star pull than archers so she'll end up stealing most of the stars that you want to be going to Orion who can use them more effectively.

As for NP level its *only* level that effects damage in most cases overcharge has other effects -pre interlude orion's NP1 does 900% NP2 does 1200% and raising overload increases the chance of decreasing the targets charge. Post interlude NP1 does 1200% NP2 does 1500% and increasing overcharge decreases the opponents crit chance.

3.I would recommend getting a few servants up to max level so you can participate in events effectively then do story - story gives you a large number of saint quartz and allows for farming important materials for skills/ascension also some events require you to be at a certain part of the story to participate .

1. I don't have Shuten or Orion, so I can't really comment on their usability together or with other servants, so let's go to the other questions.

2. NP Level increases base damage and ability to overcharge. Overcharge increases secondary effects like DEF up or Crit Stars dropped.

3. I suggest finishing a few story chapters (maybe complete Orleans or Rome) before grinding out for the big levels. The Story Quests and the Free Quests they leave behind will give you lots of quartz for rolling and materials for ascending naturally, without having to burn yourself out grinding dailies.

Tips I wish I'd known when I started:
- Don't ignore the second set of dailies. Those ascension materials and gems will disappear before you know it.
- Weekly missions are more helpful than they feel.
- Fou cards help your free servants (your 1-3* in particular) feel more useful, so don't forget about them.
- Mash is actually God-tier. Treat her well.
- There is a LOT of value in the 1-3 star servants: Hans, Cu Chulainn, Georgios, Medusa, Alexander, Medea...don't ignore them just because they're not gold.
- This website's tier system is to be taken with a grain of salt. The servant write ups are pretty thorough, but play with everything yourself and form your own opinions.
- Save up your saint quartz for 10x rolls unless you're really itching for a non-friend point roll.
- Don't forget to level up your craft essences.

1. Shuten and Orion are good servants in general, but their play styles are quite different. Both theoretically could work since they have good arts decks which can help charge NPs faster, and Shuten can help generate stars that Orion could use due to the Archer class star weight. I personally believe that both servants can perform better if they have their own teams built for them, but if you want them both together, I guess it could work as well.

2. Increasing NP level means the NP charge bar limit increases, which allows you to create stronger NP chains. At base, NPs are limited to 100% which increases to 200% and 300% at NP 2 and NP 5 respectively. The overcharge effects work only when overcharging the NP by getting over 100% or by chaining NPs. Each chain increases the chain overcharge by 100%, so the strongest NP charge can be acquired by having a NP5 chained with 2 subsequent NPs for 500% (300% + 100% + 100%) overcharge.

3. AP is subjective since people prioritise different things. Generally, you want to clear story and free quests ASAP to get better nodes for farming and to keep up with events. If your servants are not strong enough to continue, take a break and farm the daily dungeons for EXP cards or ascension/skill up materials and power up your servants and try again. If you are done with all story and free quests, farm for materials to strengthen your servant's skills and levels.

My 2 cent
1. I think Both can make a good team, but I think it's better to pick one as your main DPS and pair it with two supports. Ushi won't be good with that team, so don't put her there. If you want focused more to arts, Orion can be replaced with another Arts attacker like Robin or AoE arts servant depending on your need, but Orion is already good on his own. Find friend's Tamamo because Tamamo will be the core of your arts team, raise another arts team pieces like Hans and Mozart, or Waver if you have him. Just build a team with what you have, if most are arts oriented, then go for arts, same goes to buster and quick.
2. NP Level usually increases the base damage multiplier of your servant's NP with damaging noble Phantasm, with a few exception like Euryale where more NP level increases her bonus damage to male on her NP, not her NP Base damage. NP Level on Non Damaging NP like Waver, Jeanne, Hans, etc increase some effect on their NP, Waver on his Def debuff, Jeanne on her Def buff, Hans on his buff chances. NP Overcharge usually increases the secondary effect of your servant's NP that not fixed, some increase the buffs or debuffs that come from NP, some increase damage like Robin and Arash. As for Orion, Overcharge doesn't increase his damage, just the crit chance debuff from his NP, meanwhile NP bar drain and atk debuff from his NP are fixed.
3. I'd say daily, only rushed for story if there's a 1/2 AP campaign. Raise your servants first, so you won't get trouble while doing stories.
