Super good tactic FGO tricks/cheats ?

Hello everyone, i have a honest question. As we all know Waver and Merlin are walking cheat codes but i wonder whether there are some tricks can be used in this game? After playing for 3 months, i found out some below tricks :

1, Timeleap : if the boss nearly kill your servants, quickly shutdown the app before the animation ends, it will restart the turn. It’s really helpful when some boss can instantly charge NP gauge, or just simply to use Skill when you forgot to use.

2, Super waver tactic timeleap : When using timeleap, if you use skill/command code, all the RNGs might be changed. Uncrit>Crit, Rngs buffs, debuffs, Enemy’s target,... This saved my ass when it changed Ushikamaru NP’s target from Cú to Mash :D

I wonder if anyone is using these tricks or has other tricks/cheats wants to share 🤩

It supposed to be, if I don’t active 1 skill or Command code, it seems like the RNG wont change.

That timeleap is really helpful but tedious during Rashomon.

Normally in leveling servants, I only use half of what is needed to level when the servant is near its cap. Super/great success can be an ass especially when there are so many embers wasted.

CE bombs are useful for leveling CEs since they have a chance for super/great success and is cheaper (but not that noticeable).

Do not convert your SQ fragments, save it. It is your emergency fund in case you didn't get your top priority servant.

This is more like an advice than tips/tricks lol.

The tip of using half needed Exps is really nice. I will try it for the best efficiency since i got some Exp Cards from Christmas and Campaign. And why Rashomon prevents the trick? I havent played it yet.

Ibaraki's crit can oneshot your servant even with Waver's defense buffs. That is why arts team like Tamamo + Waver + Orion is the safest team composition that time. Now that Merlin is out, we can kiss those Ibaraki crits goodbye (since she won't live enough to crit).

How does the super/great success exp work? As in do you shut the app down as soon as you saw "success" instead of "super or great"?

Nope. The super or great success is random, but it is annoying when it procs due to wasted EXP. Say you need 20 4* embers to reach level limit, then the super success procs. You have just wasted 10 4* embers. Of course this doesn't matter if you have less interest in maximum efficiency or have many embers to waste.

Well, normally I understand that it works randomly......and strange enough, the super/great always crit when I'm always maxed......
But i thought what they were saying above were you can cheat it by closing the app, so you can always "reload" until you get super/great exp

Maybe it is the scum save they are talking about. If that is not the case, what you saying is new to me. Though I think the leveling is server base, same goes with summoning. Even when you have accidentally clicked 10-roll then close the app, the 10 summoned cards will appear in your inventory.

If an enemy is about to die in round 1 or 2 and you only get say 2 art or quick normal cards you can use an arts or quick np card as the 3rd card to get the chain bonus. Enemy dies before it reaches that 3rd card and you get the extra 20% np gauge or 10 stars for the next round.

Some pretty basic tips are:
1) When you get embers as daily rewards or from event shops, leave them in your present box so it’ll save space and that way, you can essentially hold 300 extra exp cards for 2x great success events.
2) If you want to make a card chain, you can use NPs as the last cards. Example: you have two Gil NP and Raikou NP and you want the buster chain but only have one regular buster card. Do Gil NP-buster card-Raikou NP. It’ll give gil np extra dmg and if you kill the wave with it, you’ll save the raikou np for the next turn. Can be used with quick chains and art chains too.
3) you said Merlin and waver were cheats so I’ll just bring up Arash too for farming since he makes it a lot easier with his np charge.
4) for your time leap #2 tip, you don’t have to use a skill for RNG to change. If you change the cards used, it’ll change too. For example, instead of using B-A-B, use B-B-A.
5) NP cards aren’t affected by card order so use them first so your regular cards can be more effective. (NP as the first card does same dmg as NP as third card while regular cards do more dmg as the third card)

Oh, nice tips👌. So the order of cards also changes the RNG, nice, i’ll keep that in mind :)

For #2 you sure about that? I thought NP don't get bonus damage from buster chains, just regular cards.

NP isn't supposed by first card bonus, though sometimes RNG shows me that putting NP on third card gives more damage. I dunno.

The order of an NP card doesn’t matter. It’ll do the same dmg whether it’s the first card or third one.

I like your phrase "Timeleap" more than the other word I've heard for that tactic which is "Save Scumming". Timeleap sounds cooler and less dirtier.
