is the node unlocking tomorrow any good or will i have to wait until the last day to get stockings
I've read that it's the best node for Shortcakes & Fruitcakes. So it's your choice whether you focus all apples on stockings on the last 3 days, or use a few for shortcakes/fruitcakes.

If your main concern is stockings, then you should wait till the last node opens. However, if you need to buy the items in shop, you can consider using some apples now so that you wont need to farm them later when the best node open. Another thing is whether you will have the time to use those apple when the best node open. Personally, I have been using apples coz I wont be able to use all my apples later on. In the end, its all up to you to decide.
I've been munching away, but also have over 100 gold and 60 silver and don't know how much time I will have for the last node. Of course i was maybe too efficient at cheesecakes and already cleaned out the shop of that currency, so my support choice is now jalter with holy night supper rather than ushi with mlb saints invitation
Stocking-wise, the node that unlocks tomorrow will be better than the ones now, but not as good as the final one.
The final node, however, won't drop any shop currency, so you should spend whatever apples you need to finalize whatever you're getting from the shop, so you can spend the final days focusing on just socks.
