Skipping the story for the raid

As the title kind of suggests, is the raid event worth skipping the actual story part of the game? I am currently near the beginning of Camelot and since I work all but one day till the raid opens, should I start skipping the cutscenes and such just to do the fights and progress, or are the rewards for the raid not enough to justify missing out on the great story telling in Camelot and Babylonia?

This response saved me so much time. I don't know you could do that. Thank you so much. Thanks to you I'm a quarter way through Babylonia and I have all of tomorrow and bit 9f today to finish!

You can also skip them and wait for the show to know what happens.

Camelot will get a movie and Babylonia will have an animated adaptation. I think that will be the best way of enjoying those stories, without all those "there's an enemy! engaging!" moments.
