I have Siegfried and I wanted to know if his new strengthening quest in NA makes him usable outside dragon slaying. I'm tired of hitting Homunculi for only 10,000 damage with help on a good day. I have him at level 40 btw.
There is a slightly better damage improvement, yes, because his strengthen quest makes his dragon slayer skill give him a buster card buff as well. Still won't compare to other 4-star sabers though. He's often paired with St. George so that you can give enemies the dragon trait, and therefore capitalize more on Siegfried's NP.
Actually he's one of the best 4* sabers in Japan right now:
+ Upgraded Damage Modifier on his NP
+ Mana Burst
+ Two sources of NP gain and two arts cards, he shoots that NP really frequently and reliably.
+ His Dragon Slaying damage bonus is too insane and it scales amazingly with supports.
To illustrate the last point, his damage against Dragons at NP1 surpasses the damage of any 5* Saber at NP1 (yes, even Musashi and Bride). You pair him with Georgios and you got yourself a boss killer with AoE NP. Most of this extra damage comes from Damage Increase, which is a buff that Merlín doesn't have...this means that it multiples pretty easily into high numbers and this applies to his crits too. The consistency and heal makes him an excelent Black Grail user.
So yeah, Siegfried is the brother of Goblin Slayer, he becomes a really insane option later on.
I know that he's good in some Singularities because the bosses there are a lancer with the with the dragon trait, but I was interested because he's so frustrating to use right now. But I'll be patient. Right now my Sabers are between him, Deon, and Elisabeth.
Siggy gets 2 strengthening quests. The current one available adds buster up to his 3rd skill. The future one enhances his np.
I used my lvl80 np1 Siggy in one of the challenge quests when he was the only saber option available, and I still think his np performance was poor with the new buster up (I think the skill is lvl 4 for me). I think it is his next rank up when he actually packs a punch.
It seems that it could take a while. I'm thinking on rolling on the Round Table Banner whenever it comes out and cross my fingers.
Yes, he's usable. If Siegfried is your only AOE saber then he is worth to raise.
I use him for daily and wave clearing job, he can do his job well.
For the Boss slaying, i use him along with Georgios ( Non-dragon enemies ) and 2 supp if the enemies is Dragon ( Neutral and counter - class ).
Siegfried is one of a saber who has massive damage multiplier on his kit, just use him properly.
I use NP battery CE's, Golden Sumo, any Buster CE's, Art of Death CE, Divine Banquet, Heaven feels or any CEs suited for the battle.
Thanks for the reply! I'll definitely try that suggestion on the CE's and Georgios. Anything to stop feeling so deflated whenever he fires off his NP.
