Should I invest in Scathach assassin for Mecha Demon Boar?

Hi everyone, I'm a relatively new player who has only two leveled-up assassins of note: a level 21 Stheno and a level 20 Jekyll & Hyde. I have other 1 and 2 star assassins (Kojirou, Mata Hari, Hassan, Sanson, and Phantom of the Opera), but I don't know if they can stand up to the final boss even if I maxed them. I thought maybe I can invest in Scathach but I'm worried that in the case I can't defeat the boss, I'll lose everything I've invested in her. Should I do it anyway? Or should strengthen up everyone else? Thanks!

First off, if it's really so much trouble use a support jack or support cu chulain even.

Second, yes level her. She's easy to max ascend and pretty much should only need the exp tokens. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to defeat the boss. Worst case scenario you'd have to use a SQ to continue the fight. Also use your command seals. They're there to be used not just for show

I would agree with finding a good support servant like Jack or Herc to beat this one. You don't want to stop at the final boss and not get Scathach permanently.

Leveling Scathach won't help you in this fight a lot. She doesn't deal a lot of damage and her noble phantasm is AoE. I'd try to focus on servants who can charge their NPs fast and have strong single target NPs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't guest servants the only available supports for main quests?
If assassins don't cut it, Proto Cu is another good option for the fight. He's got 3 evades(2nd skill), 3 turn dmg+ against beasts(3rd skill) and a Quick NP. With Mash's invincibility and using command spells you could try spamming 3 NPs in a row. You can also bring servants that grant Guts status or those that reduce NP charge on the enemy to the fight.

You're right, you can only use CASTER Edison lv 60 in that fight. Because class affinity+low attack, he's kind of useless there, aside from his 2nd skills passively generating some stars, yet you might as well put him in the backline, or just pray he dies on turn 2, after giving your assassins some initial stars...

Defeated him with Carmilla lv58, Kiritsugu lv 50, 100Hassan lv 40, Ridertoki NP 2 lv 60 and Rider Anne&Mary NP2 lv 60. And it was kind of hard...and had to use command spell for a second Phantom Maiden...Mary saved everything in a last standing.

OP, just spam 3 command spells to launch a Assassin NP 3 times in the space of 3 turns, also, if/after diying, break the quarts to ressurrect one more time with full NP for everybody.

Thanks for the input! Honestly, if I could've used assassin supports, I wouldn't even be asking this question in the first place. Being new is tough since I want to save Quartz for servants I want, but that also means I won't have a variety of servants to choose from, so I have to play more carefully. But if I really have to use a Quartz, I guess there's no going around it.

I did it! To any other newbies who might be wondering, I leveled Scathach up to 40 using Blaze of Wisdoms from event shop and then ascended her. Then, I simply stuck her in a team with Edison and lvl 1 Eric Bloodaxe. I used Bloodaxe's skill, let both Edison and Bloodaxe die, and soloed the boar with Scathach holding Chaldea Lifesavers. When she died, Guts brought her back and I used a Command Spell to fully heal her and finish the boar off!
