Servant Summoning/Team Composition Dilemma

It came to my attention right now that there likely won't be any single banner rate ups for Scathach... all the others with her in it are always accompanied with other servants. I pulled for all the (two?) previous banners that she was available and I still failed. Kind of went BSOD when I realized that. Going to get her swimsuit version of herself in the upcoming summer event, but it's just not the same. Her class is assassin and her NP's an AOE, not ST. So the chances of getting Lancer Scathach are even lower and the only other strong ST Lancer servant I'm interested in is Raikou and she's still ways away from the NA server...

But now my dilemma is this, the only other character I told myself to roll for is Jack. But her banner will likely be close to Merlin's and I'm definitely rolling for his character (and the Memes). Should I still roll for Jack? What other team comps can I assemble with her in mind? My current roster is:

5 Star: Altera, Okita, Orion, Tesla, Jeanne, Jalter, Nightingale, Raikou, Drake, Artoria Lancer

4 Star: Nobu, Eli (Halloween), Santa Alter, Shiki, Kintoki, Irisveil, Herc
Ibaraki, Tamamo Cat, Medea Lily, Nero, Elizabeth, Carmilla, Marie, Rama, D'Eon, EMIYA, Helena, Anne Bonny, Martha, Lancelot (Berserk), Artoria Lancer Alter, Gawain, Tristan

3 Star and below (Or rather, who I do NOT have):

Jack works well by herself if you want her as damage dealer, she doesn't really need someone to support her. You can use her as support though, she is a great star gen for riders and archers, who have higher star absorption than her.
An interesting idea is to have Okita, Jack and Kintoki rider all in the same team, that is being known as a quick card team. With their high hit quick card you will get a lot of stars, a lot of crit and a lot of NP.
Also, Scathath is up again next new year. She has one or two days where she is by herself

Life is just not worth living without Shishou's thighs to rely on. I completely understand your dilemma friendo. Assassin shishou feels like a fake shishou because it doesn't have a rocket ship NP. Nice swimsuit art though I suppose

There's also that crazy amount of damage she can dish out and the guaranteed stun, but yeah, she's got damn fine bod...

Seriously though maybe I can make a minimum of 5 singles and a 10 pull for Jack? It's just that it's close to Merlin's and quarts don't just rain from the sky. Wondering if it's worth the risk since I want to at least reach NP 2...

Dont roll for jack. Save for merlin.
1. Jack is unlimited merlin is limited.
2. The new years lucky bag guaranteed gacha has jack or jeanne. A 50% chance is much better.

Thanks for the info! This is the paid gacha with only two of them, right? It would be nice if it was some other servant with Jack, though. I already got Jeanne and her at NP 2 won't do much of a difference...

If I obtain Merlin, and if not Jack and Jeanne's banner, should I still roll for the paid Caster gacha for possible Waver? Or any of the two other Casters? Or is Merlin already enough good of a support?

You don't necessarily need another caster support aside from Merlin, but it's always good to have one anyway, more options.

Merlin is a better fit for your roster than the other supports based on who you have now. I’d certainly still try and go for one of the others though (Tamamo and Waver). I’d argue that with certain team comps Waver can be more useful than Merlin and Tamamo is key for Arts teams. So I’d definitely try for them.

And Li Shuwen is a really good ST Lancer. I know, he’s definitely not Scathach lol, but he’s still a great servant. I was thankfully able to nab her during her last banner, but I also decided to go much farther and bought her 3rd ascension figure AND her Lounge wear figure lol! This way I’ve always got a Scathach nearby haha!

That depends. You should consider which banner to roll after the merlin banner. It is possible you do not get merlin after all.

RNG forbid, if for I miss Merlin that will truly force me to roll for the Caster gacha... if not, I'm still deciding if I go for Jack's banner with a 50% chance of the only other 5 star with her which I already have (and there's not much difference even if Jeanne goes NP 2)

Caster vs assassin+extra banner.. both are incredible banners. Sure, you might get jeanne, but it is also your best bet at getting jack. If you get merlin, you might decide you won't need another caster after all. So, the question is, how much do you want jack?

Yeah, it comes down to that. And the RND goddess' blessing... case in point I when I realized that obtaining Scathach would be really slim now, I was in the process in claiming my daily gacha, was distracted and in my rush rolled for Camelot 2 banner. I wanted Artoria Lancer before for waifu reasons but quartz constraints dissuaded me from the idea... She popped up with Tristan and Gawain in tow.
