Prioritise other materials, since they aren't as consistent to farm. Don't neglect the monuments either, maybe get just enough to ascend what you want, then focus on other things.

You don't need to get monuments and pieces once a roulette event comes you will have hundreds if not thousands if you are a farming whale. Look I'm f2p but i have more than 300+ of all monuments and pieces thanks to the da vinci event. Nero feast will be the next roulette event.
