The guide says he's bad and his only good part is his buff seal, but looking at jp players, he's used often in team comps against bosses that buff themselves often.
Shouldn't he be slightly higher because of said niche, or is this just another case of tier list redundancy?
I guess it's matter of interpretation what makes servant good
Gamepress makes tier list based on overall usefulness, so Mephisto is so low there, while other sites lists focus on niche, having servants like Stheno on high places
This website's tier list is related to the NA version of the game, as it currently stands. Meph only just got his debuff in NA, and we don't encounter that many enemies who buff themselves frequently.
Plus, tier lists are kinda subjective, and at the end of the day, you can make pretty much anyone work, with the right setup.
Mephistopheles is only useful once he gets his 3rd skill, which we currently don't have in NA. Looking at his 2 available skills, there are much better alternatives to the point that he is a dead weight to any team in his current state.
As mentioned before tier lists vary quite a bit pretty clear proof in how here he's bottom tier, while appmedia has him above cu currently(with a note he's situational).
