A question about Fionn?

Nope. You're better off using other Lancer if you have an alternative. Fionn's problem is with his skillset to begin with so having him at NP5 doesn't really fix any of his problem.

Fionn's most useful trait is being a tank. Since his second skill has taunt and chance to evade, its nice when the evade actually hits. But even though the chance is 100% at level 10, the cooldown is still 10 turns. Beyond that, Mash and Leonidas work just as well for less investment.

If you were lacking an AoE lancer, then he gets the job done just fine. But Karna is gonna outdamage him even at NP5. Gameplay-wise, Fionn would not be a worthwhile investment.

In JP server now, he is the most popular 3T art team lancer right now as he just receive his buff to second skill on start of the year. However, its 2 year from the US server before Fionn get that buff, so invest in Karna is better as Karna is going to receive his NP buff mid 2019.

You have karna. Use him. Even then, you should have the Christmas welfare loli jalter, use her for farming as she's a free np5 and should do more damage then karna.

Fionn is only useful after his buff(it gives him a battery and shorten his CD) but that's 2 years later.
